This was an amazing guided tour of the forbidden city, Tiananmen Square and the central axis. It was super busy but our guide Icy was super fast and efficient and knew how to get us through the queues and crowds. A very informative morning and I’m so glad I did it!★

The tour includes an entrance ticket to the Forbidden City and the Treasure Museum. Your ticket is tied to your passport! Don't forget it. There were 10 of us in our group. Entry through the main southern gate was quick. Pick up your bag for the morning after 9 a.m. The tour lasts about 4 hours. The grounds are so vast that you won't be able to see everything. We visited all the main halls and the gates leading to them, the chambers of Empress Dowager Cixi, the Treasure Museum, and exited through the North Gate. Unfortunately, no one is allowed inside the halls, and it's difficult to see much through the half-open doors and dirty glass. The Treasure Museum was incredibly crowded, so we couldn't get a good look. Chinese New Year was probably a factor. The tour was well organized. Our guide, Alina, was very responsive and helped us not only with the tour but also with other pressing questions. However, I personally missed more detailed historical facts (which is why I took the tour, as audio guides often fail during independent exploration).★

I must give Director Ren a super five-star review! His professional skills are impeccable. From the number of roof ornaments on the Hall of Supreme Harmony to anecdotes about life in the inner palace, and the stories behind the cultural relics, he handles everything with ease and eloquence. His explanations are not rote; they are humorous and engaging, instantly bringing the red walls and yellow tiles to life. The itinerary is well-planned, avoiding crowds throughout, with a relaxed and unhurried pace. He also proactively points out the locations of drinking water and restrooms, and is incredibly patient in answering all questions. This trip to the Forbidden City was not only about visiting the attractions, but also about gaining a deeper understanding of the rich 500-year history of the Forbidden City. Highly recommended!★

The tour with our guide Linda has been fantastic. She was overflowing with energy and her stories about the Forbidden City were incredible. She made sure that we felt okay and that we were understanding everything at all times. Then came the great wall visit, where se took care of all the transportation, then told us stories on the bus microphone while getting there. She let us fully enjoy the visit and suggested different routes based on how we were feeling and our level of fitness. I normally don’t book tours with guides, but Linda truly allowed us to live an amazing experience.
