Our driver and guide, Wang Sanlang, speaks Chinese, English, Japanese, and Thai. He was fantastic! 👍 Enthusiastic and flexible. There was no hard selling or extra fees. He respected our needs. He gave us commemorative photos after the tour. Great memories.

Visiting so many attractions in one day was super rushed! The good thing is that the bus takes you to each attraction, making it perfect for solo travelers or groups of friends. It might be a bit rushed for families. Our guide, Libby, was amazing! She shared lots of tips and introduced the attractions, helping us learn more about Taiwan. If it rains, you might not be able to stop for photos at the Yin-Yang Sea. It rained all day when I went, so definitely bring a raincoat, or you'll have to buy one in Yehliu! I don't recommend buying an umbrella; Jiufen is super crowded, so it's best to travel light. This one-day tour is quite good value!

It was cloudy in Taipei, but by the time I arrived in Jiufen, it was pouring rain. Climbing the crowded, steep stairs with an umbrella was scary. I think a poncho-like raincoat might have been better. Also, I think it's better to wear shoes that won't slip in the rain. Popular tea houses like A-Mei Tea House are fully booked, so I ended up eating two bowls of taro balls at Xin Yu Restaurant, which was a filming location for the movie "A City of Sadness," because I was feeling cold.
