Fantastic cable car ride! The views over the hills and forests are beautiful, and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. There was already a short queue when it opened shortly after 10 am – the wait was about 15 minutes. The mountain station itself is very touristy, but the monastery and the large Buddha are well worth seeing. From the mountain, you can take a bus to the small fishing village of Tai O or take the cable car back down.
