It was great to get the discount. Easy to redeem at Taiwan main station. They can generally accommodate your dates and specific travel times. Agent at Taiwan station speaks English.

Keep in mind that it will take more than 2 hours. Departed from Zuoying and got off at 恒春 bus station, it took little more than 2.5 hours even though it was not the last stop. There is USB socket in the bus that was a huge plus. No need to say but there’s no bathroom break on the way. So plan ahead haha

This is a great value ticket package with unlimited use within a 3-day period. Buying the tickets separately would be much more expensive. It's a good deal for Taipei-Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung-Taiyan-Kaohsiung, and Kaohsiung-Taipei routes.

The train is cute, just like in the pictures. It departs on time, so you should arrive early. The seats are comfortable, the staff are lovely, and there are activities to do.


