It was a very good trip. There was a car for round-trip transportation, and the tour guide was there for the entire day. The bus ride from Hanoi's Old Quarter to Halong Bay took about three hours. I rarely sit in the back seat, but it was surprisingly comfortable. Along the way, I was able to see exotic scenery, and Halong Bay was also quite beautiful. It's just that after seeing so many mountains and rivers in China, I didn't find it as stunning. However, the cruise experience was very good. There was a bathing pool on the top deck, so if you have children, bring your swimsuits. It was a very enjoyable day! The tour guide spoke English, and some of the boat staff spoke Chinese! Highly recommended!★

The tour was a 4 out of 5, but I only gave it a 5 because of the boat ride between the rocks and caves. Hindu families (nothing against Hindus, just stating a fact) were holding up the entire group—introduce a rule: those who are late must catch up by taxi. Because of this, we had little time to explore the ancient capital, which turned out to be uninteresting. Hurrying up with Hindus on the bike ride was also no fun. Because of all the delays, we didn't have time to crowd the mountain for sunset. But the 1 hour 40-minute boat ride was worth it, even though we had to wait another 20 minutes for the others. The guide needs to improve her English.★

I booked a tour through Vietnam. I was the only Chinese person on the bus. The tour guide spoke in English, and I got the gist of it from a few words. The itinerary was a standard tour offered by the company, and Ha Long Bay was quite beautiful. The facilities on the boat were good, and the lunch buffet had a wide variety of choices. The service was also good. It was a shopping stop, but there was no pressure to shop.★
