Very convenient, just show the QR code at the gate, no need to redeem tickets before getting on. And it’s cheaper than buying directly from the service provider.

Since I couldn't predict my return time, I bought the ticket just before departure, about two hours before, but it was smooth and I was able to board the ferry immediately using the QR code that arrived! If I arrived at the terminal early, I could have boarded the earlier flight if there was space available.

The Airport Express is the perfect starting point for experiencing Hong Kong's professionalism. From clear multilingual signage to efficient accessibility design, from the smooth experience of scanning QR codes to the perfectly controlled temperature in the carriages, every detail reveals the city's professionalism and thoughtfulness. When the train attendant announces arrival information in both Cantonese and English, the 24-minute journey becomes a refined first cultural experience.
Reviews: Hong Kong Octopus Card
Guest User2025-12-26
Excellent service. We booked a card with a SIM card. It turned out we needed a 50 Hong Kong dollar deposit. So we had to exchange money at the airport anyway. They only exchanged 500 yuan for HKD; they wouldn't accept anything less.
