Reviews/Trip Moments

Reviews: From Inverness: Torridon, Applecross, & Eilean Donan Castle

The trip was truly enjoyable and entertaining. Although the forecast predicted wind and rain, the weather at the end of March changed every 10 minutes from rainy to sunny, which allowed us to make plenty of stops at stunning viewpoints whenever it cleared up. The locations we visited were very diverse, showcasing different types of nature as well as a memorable castle visit. Our guide was excellent, sharing many interesting stories and small details about the local culture, history, and daily life, which made us fall in love with Scotland even more. The only minor issue was that the loudspeakers were not quite loud enough, so it was sometimes difficult to hear the guide clearly. However, this did not significantly affect the overall experience.

A Highlands sampler plate; some Ness, some Nessie, some ancient cairns, some whiskey, some history, THE battlefield, some castling, etc. etc. Martin weaved it all together well with genuine charm and local knowledge... kept us moving; open to adapt to collective group's wishes on time and choices.
