This was by far one of the best tours we’ve ever taken, and we travel often and have experienced many tours. From the moment we were greeted by our wonderful guide, Nathalie, we knew we were in great hands. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Lyon, its deep connection to French culinary traditions, and how the city earned its reputation as the gastronomic capital of France. The tour offers a complete culinary experience, including an aperitif, a traditional Lyonnaise entrée, and thoughtfully planned stops throughout the city featuring renowned chocolatiers and confiseries. What truly sets this tour apart is that it is not just a food tour, but a rich historical journey as well, making it a comprehensive and immersive way to experience Lyon. It was fabulous. Our driver/guide Amandine arrived on time and explained how the day would evolve. There was only three of us in the group. Our first stop was Pérouges, a beautiful medieval village. Amandine explained the historical significance of this village and guided us through the village pointing out areas of interest. We finished this visit with a galette and drink before heading to our next stop. This was an hour long drive and Amandine explained the importance of the wine industry in the Beaujolais area and we arrived a Villefranche sur Saône, the capital of the region, where we had our lunch stop. Amandine recommended several restaurants, one of which offered local dishes and the three of us chose this one and we weren’t disappointed. Next stop was the Mont Brouilly from where we had a fabulous outlook of the region and its rocky formation. Then onto the Chateau de la Chaize estate where Ambre explained the wine making process before a wine. . Excellent day.

We went for the tour with a group of friends and we loved it! Erick is very knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel very welcome! The foods at all the places he took us was fantastic. I especially loved to meet a business women from Fromagerie Saint Jean who only sells cheese and charcuterie from farms that keep animals outside and take good care of them! The praline pie was also a very pleasant surprise!!! Definitely recommend it! Great value for money! Thank you, Erick! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
