Reviews: Caminito del Rey: Entry Ticket & Guided Tour
Guest User2026-10-14
Caminito del Rey is a great experience. We had reserved tickets with a guide, but thanks to previous recommendations from reviews to arrive at the parking lot at least 1.5 hours before entry, we were at the entrance gate an hour and a quarter before our planned time. Since it was October 10th, there was no chaos. Fortunately, the lady at the entrance said that if we didn't want to wait for our group, we could go on our own, which we did. If you really don't need a physical guide and a group, I recommend going on your own. There are educational boards along the way where you can learn a lot and... we used AI to play the role of a guide and tell us about the path, history, what we see, etc. We really enjoyed it. Finally, before the last bridge, the groups in front of you are separated anyway, because the guard only lets people in in sections so that there aren't too many people on the sidewalk. If you are on a solo tour, you can walk around them and an employee will let you go with the nearest brew. It was probably a bit rude to overtake, but no one shouted at us. :-)
