We experienced at least three shades of blue in the lagoon while kayaking. The water was lukewarm, and you could swim or stand on the island beach. Our guide, Rommel, was definitely not a charlatan. He gave us a friendly welcome and checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was alright. He speaks many languages and answered all our questions about nature, history, and food.

Reviews: Bacalar: 3-hr Pontoon Boat Tour with Swimming and Drinks
Guest User2026-10-10
The service was good. Diego, the captain, gave very good explanations and was very friendly. However, he didn't respect the spacing as we arrived, which made the beginning of the tour a little uncomfortable. But otherwise, it was excellent, and he was very friendly. Another point for improvement is that they only had one type of fruit on hand—watermelon. I would change that. It's an area for improvement. 100% recommended.
