My parents really enjoyed it. The quality of the performance was better than expected, and the food was delicious. The portions were huge, so much so that we ended up leaving some behind towards the end. Knowing that I was a foreigner, they were very kind and provided a lot of guidance in English. Although I couldn't understand English myself... I think it would be more comfortable for those who speak English. The performance description appears in English at the top, but it would be better if there were a rough outline on a piece of paper beforehand, like a menu. As a foreigner, I wanted to understand the plot beforehand so I could watch the performance. Of course, even without knowing the storyline, it wasn't a problem to enjoy it! I would recommend it to my friends to visit when they go to Shanghai.

Unfortunately, traveling solo ended up being more expensive because there wasn't a single-person option. Chinese portions are very large, and for two, that's a lot of food. I brought my own "taboo" and ate for three more days. 🤣 It's good to have a refrigerator in the room! The interior is interesting (there are two other locations, each different), and the food is delicious! But during Golden Week, there's a rush of tourists, so I had to wait almost four hours. There's a Madame Tussauds museum in the shopping center, which made waiting in the huge line a little easier. The staff is pleasant and helpful! If you reserve a table yourself, you can choose your favorite dishes.
Reviews: Taste of China - Immersive Experience Package

In short, I almost cried from the emotions I experienced. Gorgeous, beautiful, thoughtfully crafted, delicious!!! I highly recommend this place when in Shanghai. There were so many different dishes. While the dishes at these types of sets are usually small, here each serving was quite generous. We ate our fill! Naturally, there were dishes that surprised us with their taste, both good and bad. But this is China, so for a Russian, it's no surprise that something was "strange." In any case, it was incredibly interesting, vibrant, and unforgettable. Worth every penny. I was also surprised that they had a translation device for our language. We thought it would be English... but it turned out to be Russian!!! Unexpectedly. The waiters speak English well, explain everything, and help. I highly recommend this place!
Reviews: Yu Garden New Chinese Tea Experience (Stunning Terrace Views of Yu Garden + Immersive Tea Ceremony + Variety of Tea Snacks + Premium Tea Selection)

Regarding the magnificent view: arriving there truly offers wonderful views, but that's not what you see in person. I'm only mentioning this in case anyone has expectations regarding the view. That said, I must mention that this isn't the focus. The expectation was an experience to sample different types of tea. This expectation was successfully met. Chen Ying was wonderful both in the way she made the tea and in her explanations. I felt welcomed and loved every flavor. The shop itself is marvelous: all that display of teas, teapots, and cups! For any tea lover, the experience is worthwhile. I wanted to go back again, but I didn't have time. I hope to return sometime.

Fun family dinner at Xuyan to dress up as ancient Chinese prince and princess! A lot of fun activities before dinner including mahjong and five stones. Nice food and ambience but performance (especially the drumming) maybe a little too loud for young kids.
