Reviews: From Cebu: Oslob Whale Shark Encounter + Moalboal Sardine Run Snorkeling | Full-Day Marine Adventure
Guest User2026-08-15
We departed from our Cebu hotel at 4 AM, and after a 3-hour drive, arrived in Oslob for a close encounter with whale sharks (the world's largest fish). In the afternoon, we went diving in Moalboal to see sardines. The round trip took over 8 hours, but it was definitely worth it. Although it was a shared tour, there were only 7 of us. The driver was Filipino, and the guide was Chinese (Xiao Duan). They provided commentary throughout the trip, and the service was excellent. They took great care of everyone, and communication was seamless.

Shark experience was incredible and unique. Only problem was the ride, driver was driving very fast and erratic, in a careless way even after being asked to slow down

Reviews: From Cebu: Mactan Island Hopping with Lunch
Guest User2026-08-15
Cebu's main island is small (it's known as the Maldives of the Philippines), but there are many island hopping opportunities for diving. The water is clear, the sand is fine, and the marine life is abundant and diverse. The driver picked us up from the hotel at 8 am, and it took about an hour to reach the pier. Then we took a crab boat (my son and I were served by two Filipinos). After a half-hour boat ride, we arrived at the first island (we didn't go ashore) for snorkeling, and then another island (we went ashore) after another half-hour ride. Lunch was a buffet with fresh ingredients and a decent variety. After lunch, we went snorkeling at Shiseido Island (we went ashore). We returned to the pier around 2 pm. The driver from the morning was waiting at the pier to take us back to the hotel. The itinerary was well-organized, and the service was excellent.

The swimming with Whaleshark is a gorgeous experience. The Kawasan Falls canyoneering experience was adventurous and fun. The scenery was extremely beautiful.
