An excellent experience. This was my second time boarding the boat, and it seems the operator switched to a brand-new vessel this year! A quick tip: it’s best to take some motion sickness medication beforehand. Since everyone’s constitution is different, you might experience seasickness, which could really spoil the experience.

An Absolutely Incredible Whale-Watching Experience! We had the most incredible experience with Captain Dave’s Whale Watching today, 24 August 2026 — an unforgettable trip from start to finish! A huge thank you to Captain E and Jenelle, our Marine Specialist, who were fantastic. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the ocean made the experience even more special. The highlight of the day was seeing a super-sized pod of 500+ dolphins! Watching them leaping, feeding and swimming alongside us was absolutely breathtaking. At times it felt like they were watching us just as much as we were watching them! We were also lucky enough to see a Fin Whale, beautiful sea lions, and the spectacular California coastline. Every moment was incredible, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Captain E did an amazing job finding the wildlife while ensuring everyone had a fantastic view, and Jenelle provided fascinating information throughout the trip. If you’re anywhere near do go!
