Reviews: From Cebu: Oslob Whale Shark Encounter + Moalboal Sardine Run Snorkeling | Full-Day Marine Adventure
Guest User2026-08-15
We departed from our Cebu hotel at 4 AM, and after a 3-hour drive, arrived in Oslob for a close encounter with whale sharks (the world's largest fish). In the afternoon, we went diving in Moalboal to see sardines. The round trip took over 8 hours, but it was definitely worth it. Although it was a shared tour, there were only 7 of us. The driver was Filipino, and the guide was Chinese (Xiao Duan). They provided commentary throughout the trip, and the service was excellent. They took great care of everyone, and communication was seamless.

Reviews: Bohol: Dolphin Watching + Virgin Island + Balicasag Snorkeling Day Tour|Encounter with Sea Turtles

They picked us up right on time from the hotel in the morning. We had the boat all to ourselves as a family, so we could do whatever we wanted. We saw dolphins, and they even took us to a turtle spot by switching to a smaller boat, where we saw lots of turtles. They also took lots of pictures of us on the boat. It was a great memory! We had a wonderful time.

Reviews: 1-day tour to Oslob whale sharks + Kawasan Falls canyoneering in Cebu, Philippines
Guest User2026-09-15
I was worried because I read various comments in the reviews, but I had a fantastic time! They were supposed to pick me up at the hotel at 5am, but they called around 4:30am asking "Where are you now?" It seemed they had arrived early and wanted to let me know. I slept for the three hours each way, so when I woke up, we had arrived. When we got to the whale shark area, we paid the entrance fee of 100p and also paid extra to rent a snorkel air pump. I didn't rent a GoPro. Goggles are free. Seeing the whale sharks up close and swimming with them was the best memory of my life! The driver waited for me, so I dried myself off and we traveled for another hour and a half to the canyoning location. However, it felt very short. For the canyoning, we were asked whether we wanted to walk 45 minutes to the top or pay p800 per person to do a skyride, and of course we paid lol. It was thrilling and exciting, but you can't do canyoning without doing it, so it might not be for people with a fear of heights. The river was beautiful during the canyoning, and we had a great time jumping and swimming for about two hours! There was a shop along the way where you could buy things and pay later, but we didn't buy anything to save money. When we finished, we had lunch, changed clothes, took a shower, and that was it. It was so much fun, so I highly recommend making a reservation ✨✨ Thank you!

We were very satisfied with the trip, and the kids loved it too. We saw the whale sharks and sardine run we'd been looking forward to, and we even unexpectedly encountered several sea turtles. Highly recommended!

Reviews: Depart from Cebu: Oslob whale shark watching & snorkeling 1-day tour | Round-trip transfer & including lunch
Guest User2026-07-15
The tour guide was excellent; he was Chinese and provided very detailed explanations. He also helped look after the children and was very patient with them. We arrived at the hotel half an hour early, which was great. We were very lucky to see so many whales! The itinerary was well-planned and not too strenuous. The driver drove very smoothly and safely. When one of our children left something in the car, they turned back to help us find it. The service was truly fantastic. A big thumbs up! 👍

Reviews: Cebu departure: Oslob Whale Shark Watching + Badian Kawasan Falls canyon adventure 1-day tour
Guest User2026-10-09
At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was actually an incredibly worthwhile activity! Swimming with whale sharks was a novel and unforgettable experience. Although it required leaving very early and involved a long journey, you could catch up on sleep in the car. (We brought our own snorkel and camera, and only rented fins and tipped the instructor to take photos). The canyoning and waterfall jumping tour originally involved an hour-long hike into the mountains, but for 800 pesos you could switch to zip-lining, which was much easier. I recommend saving your energy, as there were still 3 hours of hiking and wading afterward 😂 Our instructor, Neil, was super attentive 💗 and very safety-conscious! The chicken leg rice served was also delicious! Overall, highly recommended! 👍🏻
