We did not expect summer to be so busy bc kids are on their holidays and every attraction sites are packed with crowds. Our guide Mary was excellent at directing us, she is very knowledgeable about histories and events and shared valuable insights. Because of logistics and the number of tourists in the city, we ended up taking public transport (subway and buses) to bypass traffic which save us alot of walking. However, the wait times for ticketing still consumed 2 hours of our time due to heavy crowd. Our tour was supposed to end at 2pm but Mary stayed with us and completed our tour until 4:30pm so we dont feel cheated. Thank you Mary for being so patient with us. I think everyone in our group had a great time although the day felt very long mainly due to long wait at security and ticketing.

We went on a group tour; there were about 20 of us. Because of the rain, there were fewer people, but still a lot. However, we quickly bought tickets, and our first group headed off with a very young guide, Alina. She studied Russian in China and also visited St. Petersburg for six months, and today she gave her first tour! So, I'd really like to commend her, as she has a pretty good Russian accent. Of course, she mixes up our endings, but I'm sure with some practice she'll become more confident in our difficult Russian. We understood everything throughout our short tour. In fact, the tour itself was supposed to be 2 hours long (covering the history of the landmark), but the tour itself and the history were over in about 40 minutes, and then there was free time, as they say. Honestly, the tour was dry, literally: "The emperor lived here, and the empress was here, they ate here, they rested here." Add more interesting historical facts

We loved everything!! Anastasia met us, explained everything, and gave us a great tour (she shared lots of stories and information about the Forbidden City). She answered all of our travelers' questions. We walked at a leisurely pace.
