Reviews: 1-day cruise tour to Saronic islands: Hydra + Poros + Aegina | Includes lunch

Luckily, I booked VIP service, which included hotel pick-up and drop-off. We departed at 7 AM and returned at 8 PM, actually visiting two islands. The deck and bar on the boat were packed, while the VIP cabins were less crowded, with everyone having a sofa. Lunch started at 1 PM and was fairly substantial; the meat was okay, but the rice was too hard. The tea shop opened at 10 AM and was gone in a flash, so I didn't take any pictures. The tea was alright, but the selection was limited. By the way, the air conditioning in the cabins was very strong; if you're wearing shorts, I recommend bringing a blanket, as they don't provide them. Also, there were almost no Chinese or Asian passengers on board; it was almost entirely Europeans and Americans. None of the crew spoke Chinese, so this tour was probably mainly for Europeans and Americans. The crew's English had a kind of Greek accent, with a thick, slurred speech. Communication usually required some back-and-forth to get a feel for each other, but it was a very warm and friendly atmosphere. They even shook hands and said goodbye before disembarking. The scenery was indeed breathtaking, like something out of a painting. I highly recommend this tour. If you don't like sunbathing, definitely go for the VIP section, as it's incredibly sunny on the deck. If you enjoy sunbathing, that's a different story. By the way, the VIP seats on the deck are usually empty, so it's nice to relax and unwind occasionally. We encountered many luxury yachts along the way. A staff member saw me taking pictures and said it was Zuckerberg's yacht—the kind of rich person's boat! With my limited English, I only understood "Zuckerberg." These people from Europe and America live such comfortable lives; they were singing and dancing the whole way, like they'd won the lottery. It was certainly a different kind of travel experience. As a side note, there will be announcements and signs reminding you of the boarding time before disembarking. Before departure, staff will ask if you want to participate in any activities, like a walk or swimming. We brought two children and two elderly people, and since the tour was only in English, we didn't participate in any activities and explored on our own. Also, be aware that we disembarked quite late at night and would be hungry, so bring some snacks. We didn't get back to the hotel until almost 9 pm and were starving. The adults had already finished all the children's cookies on the way back. Overall, it was a pleasant day, and the itinerary is highly recommended! 😀😀😀

There are few reviews for this tour, so I'm writing this for those interested. First, the meeting point is in the Marine Delta, which is a bit far from the Acropolis and other areas with many hotels. Getting there requires a metro and bus transfer. You need to arrive before 7:45 AM; you can't get a taxi using the Bolt, you have to hail one. The price from near the Acropolis is around €20. However, the tour itself is quite good, especially in the hot summer. The cruise ship has air-conditioned sofas on the second floor and open-air seating on the third floor, with a band and dancers. On the third island, Pistachio Island, you can choose a bus tour within a tour or just explore on your own; it's truly beautiful. Of course, my favorite was the first island, Hydra, a beautiful little island with delicious and inexpensive food. There's a supermarket right by the sea, and a sunset viewing platform further up. The second island only gave us a little over half an hour, and the prices were higher, so I don't remember it well. For the third island, Pistachio Island, I joined a €24 bus tour per person. We went up the mountain for a panoramic view of the island, which was beautiful, and we also learned about its history. The best part was that after the tour, the guide took us down to sample pistachio jam, a seafood buffet with fried squid, fried fish, and drinks, making it quite affordable overall. Lunch was fairly average, but considered good for Europe. It included a large chicken leg, tomato fish, etc. The pasta was a bit cold, but overall it was decent! The band was very enthusiastic—they would play songs based on the nationalities of the tourists, which was a pleasant surprise. We returned to the pier around 7 pm and leisurely took the bus back.
