While in Xi’an, my partner and I wanted to see the Terracotta Army but from our research understood there is minimal English explanations and opted to book a group Tour. This particular tour stood out on Trip.com for its excellent reviews and being affordable. Once booked I was immediately contacted by the tour company giving very clear instructions on where to meet and how to get there, and informing us who our guide would be. We arrived a met our guide Louis who was very approachable, friendly yet professional and extremely knowledgeable. His English was excellent and the ear pieces he provided for the tour were top quality. There were 6 of us in total, but he hosts up to 8 on a tour, still being much smaller than most other tours. He gave us excellent photo opportunities, took group pictures, answered all our questions relating to the Army and wider Xi’an and Chinese history. This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it to get the best out of your day.★

A well-organized tour. We were picked up from our hotel, which was very convenient. We had a tour of the Terracotta Army, a delicious lunch, and were taken to Huaqing Palace. The day ended with a magnificent performance of "Song of Sorrow." The entire group of 10 people took charge of us, as we were the only ones who didn't speak English, and the tour was in English. The tourists were from Singapore, Seoul, and London, and everyone was very friendly. We recommend the tour, especially if you speak English. We used a translator.★

We were very grateful for the pick-up and drop-off service from the hotel to the Terracotta Army.
Although we didn't have much knowledge about the Terracotta Army, our guide, Mr. Song, explained the history and ruins in an easy-to-understand way, allowing us to enjoy our visit. Since we don't understand Chinese or English, we think we would have just looked at it and left without understanding anything, so we're really glad we hired a guide.
Also, after our visit, I forgot my umbrella in the restroom, but Mr. Song and the local police helped us search for it, and we were able to find it safely. Thank you so much!
From the pick-up and drop-off to the sightseeing guidance and handling of our lost item, everyone was so kind and helpful, making our sightseeing experience very reassuring.
We were able to learn more about the Terracotta Army, and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much, Mr. Song and everyone who assisted us.
