Reviews: Baku: Gobustan, Mud Volcanoes, Fire Mountain & Temple Tour
Guest User2026-04-11
The tour allows you to see all the places that are difficult to reach on your own. The bus was comfortable, and the group size was good—17 people packed up quickly and moved from place to place without any hassle. The mud volcanoes aren't particularly impressive, but you can reach them off-road in a Niva, which is in danger of falling apart. The most interesting spots are Gobustan (an open-air museum) and the Fire Temple in Absheron. Be prepared to pay extra for the tickets and the Niva ride (we paid 65 manat per person for all the extras) plus lunch. Bring water and a small snack, as lunch isn't until 2:00 PM. The tour was offered in three languages: English, Spanish, and Turkish. They said there were Russian-speaking groups, but we didn't find that option. Overall, it was a great experience for a very reasonable price.

Our driver Kerem and guide Ali were incredibly friendly and competent. It was a truly interesting and impressive tour. Ali speaks very clear and understandable English, explained a lot to us, and was always attentive to everyone's needs. He was very approachable and welcoming. I felt very comfortable and at ease. We saw an incredible amount; this tour was outstanding. Ali and Kerem both made the tour a truly memorable experience. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Birgit

Reviews: Half-Day Baku, Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes Adventure
Guest User2026-09-27
A fantastic day exploring Gobustan National Park, the mud volcanoes, and especially the ride in a vintage car (Lada). It's a must-do outside of the capital. Our guide, Ruzy, was perfect throughout the entire excursion.
