It's very convenient; you don't have to mess around with swapping SIM cards, or even switching anything. We visited Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, and everything worked without a hitch. We connected through the Trip app, without scanning a QR code. It worked for my husband and me (I have an iPhone, he has a Samsung). Be sure to enable "Data Roaming" in the settings.


