Purchasing the JR Wide Pass through Trip.com is incredibly convenient. Previously, with other platforms, I had to go to the airport to pick up and exchange the pass, but now I can exchange it electronically and simply show my email address upon arrival in Japan. On the first day, I was able to ride the Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa for free!

You get a numbered ticket when you board, and collect it when you get off, plus show the driver your 2-day pass voucher on your phone. The ride is incredibly smooth. Joining a small group tour is really convenient; there's space to put your luggage and you can get a good rest. Our flight was in the middle of the night, and we didn't want to spend money on a hotel, so this method allowed us to get a good rest and see beautiful views. It was very relaxing to see Mount Fuji. Very satisfied.
