We had an amazing time in Matka! Petar has a great humor and gave us lots of insightful information about the place. The Macedonian breakfast was the cherry on top (trust him when he suggests the traditional pastry with meat, it’s great🤩).

The half-day excursion was worthwhile because our guide was engaging. It was nice to get out of the city for a bit and discuss the country's history, learning a little about the people. The canyon was pretty but not exceptional. I would have preferred to hike to the cave and return by boat. The picnic was more of a snack, but the shared experience was enjoyable. I recommend this excursion.
