People say there's no benefit to the pass these days, but I found it good when going to Kyoto. It costs 13,000 won, so it's a good deal if you travel from Namba Station to Arashiyama, Kyoto Station, Nishiki Market, etc. However, on the return trip, I was charged an extra fee because the Kyoto Line automatically transferred to a different line.

During my temporary return to Japan, I took a field trip around the city with a friend using the Osaka Amazing Pass. Even though I'm from Osaka, it was great to thoroughly enjoy tourist spots I don't usually visit, just using the pass. The fact that the pass covers the subway and buses is a huge plus. I highly recommend it, especially for tourists from overseas! I calculated that I saved about 500 yen.

It's really a great deal, but you need to download a separate app to use it, which is a bit inconvenient. Our package includes round-trip cable car tickets to Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden (¥2500@adult), Kobe Marine World (¥3100@adult), and a ¥1500 cash voucher for Tennoji Mio Department Store (per person).

It was really useful for getting around Osaka between the subway and the bus. Activate it as soon as you arrive, and it will last as long as possible. It is a bit of a hassle having to open the app every time you want to use it, but if you're going to be using public transport, it's incredibly useful.
