Jerneja was a wonderful guide for our truffle hunting and preparing tour. She introduced us to truffle hunter Valdi and his lab/golden retriever mix Bistra and explained the rigorous training that was required for such an endeavor as well as gave interesting background information about truffles (including useful tips on how to spot real and fresh truffles at a restaurant). Bistra found about 8 truffles during our 45 minute hunt. Best of all, we then went back to Jerneja’s house where she taught us how to prepare and cook some of the truffles we had just gathered in a delicious fuži pasta dish, accompanied with some wine, juice and small bites. Overall a really fun, tasty and informative culinary adventure!

This tour was phenomenal and honestly even better than we expected! Natasha was an incredible guide: friendly, patient, and an absolute wealth of knowledge. The wine, food, and olive oil tastings were far more generous than we anticipated, and everything was delicious. This ended up being one of our absolute favourite tours of the entire trip. Highly recommend!
