Reviews: From Heraklion: Spinalonga All-Inclusive BBQ Cruise & Guide
Guest User2026-06-29
4.5/5 - Great trip overall but with some wasted time. We lost quite a bit of time in the morning stopping at so many places to pick people up but that's understandable. We left Heraklion at about 8am, boarded the boat at 1030. The boat ride was absolutely a highlight with a long trip to the beach and back, drinks at the bar and the lunch was very tasty. Spinalonga was very beautiful but not so interesting and absolutely not worth €20 to enter. 90 minutes there was way too long, 50-60min would be enough. Similarly, we had too little time in Agios Nikolaos (3:45-4:45pm) which is extremely beautiful with many streets to walk along. The final stop at the olive factory was also not very interesting but is an opportunity to buy the company's products. We were back in Heraklion around 730.
Reviews: Agios Nikolaos: Boat Trip to Spinalonga with Swim Stop

A fantastic trip that I’d highly recommend! The boat was spacious, comfortable, and had great onboard facilities, including clean toilets, a restaurant, and a bar, making the journey really enjoyable. The swim stop was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and plenty of time to relax and take it all in. Spinalonga itself was beautiful, and learning about the island’s fascinating history made the visit even more memorable. It was a perfect combination of sightseeing, relaxation, and history. A wonderful day out and definitely worth doing if you’re visiting the area.
Reviews: From Ierapetra: Cruise to Chrissi Island with Swimming

I would definitely go back to the island. It was a fantastic experience, pure nature. The tickets were printed right on the boat, and lunch was included. You could choose from six menus, which also included a small salad and a bottle of water. Not five-star cuisine, but perfectly adequate. Ice cream and other treats, as well as chilled drinks, are available at the boat bar, which is also very well air-conditioned. Swimmers can jump off the boat and swim ashore; for everyone else and for luggage, there's a small motorboat that makes several trips back and forth. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes. Shady spots are available under some trees. The ferry schedule provided by the operator was accurate.
Reviews: From Ag. Nikolaos: Spinalonga & Kolokytha Cruise with Lunch

We generally enjoyed the entire tour, which was very beautiful. Although the heat made Spinalonga Castle tiring, it also offered excellent views. The boat had ample space to sit comfortably, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The food on board was good, especially the salad. We would suggest adding Spanish to the onboard guide, and a little more time for swimming at the beach would have been nice. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend the excursion.
