As a solo traveler who doesn’t speak any Chinese, had a very good time. Driver arrived well on time and was very friendly. Really made the experience at the wall a lot better by making it easier

Wow, what an amazing experience! Brad was a fantastic guide. We hiked for about 2.5 hours, including walking up to the Wall to avoid the cable car. We walked for about 6km, with 327m of climbing, including plenty of stops for photos. There are some steep sections, so you need to be reasonably fit, but anyone who has done any hill walking would be OK with this. The views are spectacular and there were no crowds. Jinshanling is definitely an excellent place to visit the Great Wall. After the hike we had an delicious lunch at a local restaurant. The food was very good. Our driver did a great job getting us to the Wall and back. We requested a 7am pickup from our hotel, which was perfect for us. We were dropped off back at the hotel at 3pm, so this was an 8 hour trip. Everything was perfect. Thank you Brad and Catherine. Very highly recommended.

This was a great tour, Jackie was very friendly and helpful! The sunset was incredible and the Great Wall is one of the most amazing places I’ve seen. Definitely wear good walking shoes, some of the stairs are very steep and some of the downhill can be a little slippery. Would recommend this to anyone.
Reviews: Private Sunset&Night Tour: Simatai Great Wall & Gubei Water Town
Guest User2024-06-02
We had May Wang as our guide for the Gubei Water town and Simatai Great Wall night tour. We had a really great afternoon and evening out with May. We stated from Beijing at 2pm. May made some adjustment to the time we booked beforehand in order to get the best timing on top the wall which was much appreciated. On our drive out to the wall and during the afternoon May shared some history about the great wall and the town. First we took a walk through the water town, it was very peaceful with many nice spots for taking photos. We also looked in some displays in the town for things including baijiu making, cloth dying, paper making. We brought some tasty street snacks along the walk through the town. Then caught the cable car up to the wall. The real highlight was watching the sunset from atop the wall, it was really worth the trip and it wasn’t too busy either. During the night entry you can walk between watch towers 5 and 6 as well as a little on either side. After sunset the lights come on the wall which is also really nice to look at. On our walk back through the water town to the car we also caught the drone light show in the square which was a nice surprise. The water town was much more lively at night. The drive there and back was also very comfortable.

We had a great time in our Tour in Beijing. Linda was very nice and a very excellent guide and driver. She pick me and my husband at the Airport and drop us also at the Hotel after the Tour, she is very Professional. We are very comfortable with her, since we dont have their chinese currency she offer me to buy food first and i just pay her with my money in Euro. Very accomodating and her english is very clear we understand her very well, about the History in China very knowlegeable. During our tour shes the one taking our pictures our photographer at the same time. Again thanks to Linda we wish to see you again with another Tour in China.
