I really enjoyed the cruise on the river , the fish and chips arrived hot and were very tasty . The commentary was informative and entertaining . As the evenings are dark now I would advise wearing warm clothes as the best view of the city at night is from the open top deck .

York city cruises Evening tour with Chloe as captain Booking was online and easy. Via ‘get your guide’. Would suggest you book in advance as the queue waiting to buy was long. The boat is large and not wheelchair accessible (from what we saw, there may be other ways to get on). The bar was quite stocked and had a plethora of non alcoholic drinks too. The trip was excellent and so much information given by Chloe who spoke in a clear voice. The boat went upstream, turned back down stream, turned back upstream and the boat was flat al level with precision steerage from our captain. The trees did get in the way a bit however it did not deter us from a magical experience of being a passenger onboard. Recommend to others; at every opportunity. Return again; maybe in a few years.
