The tour was lovely, and we had plenty of time to explore on our own. The guide shared a lot of interesting information. Unfortunately, he seemed unwell and at times came across as somewhat aloof and unfriendly. The wine tasting was impersonal; the winemaker didn't have time for us, simply handed out the wine, and then became absorbed by another group. We're used to a different experience, and since it would have been the highlight for us, we were very disappointed. We felt like we were intruding.

This trip was well worth every penny. Laurent was our guide for the day and he was knowledgeable, engaging and made us feel like he truly loved his job. Each stop was unique and gave you plenty of time to explore. My personal favorite was the medieval castle at the end of the tour. What a fantastic surprise! Laurent took us room to room, section to section and just let the knowledge flow. I was a little uneasy about booking as it says "all sales are final," but I thought it was well worth it and wouldn't have missed it! Definitely a must do as it is an efficient way to see some of the surrounding areas and you get to learn along the way.

A nice tour of Alsace. At each stop there is enough time to experience the place properly. There are no real explanations about the places themselves. If you don't have the strength to look for buses and trains on your own, this will definitely suit you.
