Perfect!  Bought esims for each of my family members traveling with me. I installed the esim into each iphone prior to leaving US.  Upon landing, turned on the cell, turned off the US line and turned on the esim.  One phone took longer than the others to find the service while the other 2 quickly became live.  Upon returning home, the network recognized the change and prompted for a network update.  When deleting the esim, one iphone's iMessage contacts disappeared, leaving only the phone numbers.  The fix is to go to settings, turn off and on the iMessage toggle and everything returned.  The internet service in Japan was fast and always stable.  Just note, you cannot make phone calls.

Overall the SIM card is good. It works when I travel to rural area. Fast speed and the price is cheap compared with other telco. Going to buy again soon.

ESim coverage is very good. Went to many different places, in Niigata, nagaoka, kawagoe. Managed to receive signal in all of these places (internet speed is fast as well). Some places where M1 roaming couldn't reach, this SIM card could. Would repurchase this ESIM, no hassle, worth for money
