Reviews: Eat Osaka: Street Food Cooking in an Authentic Kitchen!
Guest User2026-01-11
Amazing trip to Osaka made even better with a wonderful cooking class. Udon dipping noodles, pickled cucumber, and tempura from scratch! We had the pleasure of learning from an excellent instructor who took her time to diligently explain each step of the process and the differences between other methods! We are so happy we booked this class and recommend it to anyone who wants to take a deeper dive into the Osaka culinary culture. Pro tip: we went to the small craft beer bar in the back of the building after and it was perfect. Great pours of Japanese beer and phenomenal pork curry! While we were full from the class, we couldn’t resist the smell coming from the kitchen and had to try it.

What a fantastic and informative experience. So much fun to take a calming moment from the busy city to slow down with some art and history. I love my piece and can’t wait to display it when I get home. Thank you so much!

Reviews: Osaka: Kendo Workshop Experience
Guest User2025-12-09
This wasn't just your typical "samurai cosplay experience." It was real kendo. The feeling of properly honing your skills in the bamboo-scented dojo, learning the stances, striking yourself, and feeling it with your own body was incredible. Above all, the instructor was legendary. He spoke English perfectly, explained things clearly, and cracked jokes throughout, making the atmosphere incredibly lively. He taught in a way that even beginners could enjoy, and his keen observation of each stance made it feel like I was really learning kendo. Overall, it felt less like a tourist experience and more like the first step to "real training." I think both first-time and experienced kendo players would be satisfied. Honestly, it was much better than I expected, and when I left, I felt like I was a samurai in a past life. 😆 Highly recommended! It was an experience I'd love to experience again.
