Reviews: Cebu Oslob Whale Shark + Moalboal Sardine Run VIP Day Tour (Including Hotel Transfer)

The tour was superb, with a very safe and friendly driver and cute guide. The fantastic ocean views, whales, schools of sardines, and tropical fish made it a truly exceptional experience. I also thought the price was reasonable. I tipped the guide 100 pesos and the driver 500 pesos, and it was worth it. Be sure to take this private tour. I'll add photos later.

A great experience, as long as you wear a swimsuit to go, there is a car to pick up and drop off, the site provides wetsuits, diving mirrors, drinking water, in addition to a Chinese coach responsible for explaining, taking pictures in the water, there is a local coach with diving. Before traveling, you will practice in the pool before actually going to the sea to dive. The photos taken will be uploaded to the WeChat gallery on the same day and provide a link to download. It is very convenient. Coach Xue explained in detail and pushed! !

We booked a private transfer for two adults and two children, 13 and 5 years old. A minivan was delivered, and we were the only ones there. The kids all got a good night's sleep. First, there were the sharks. We arrived, went to check in, were given instructions to read, assigned a number, and then sat waiting for your turn. We waited about 30-40 minutes. Then they gave us life jackets and you waited for the boat. Keep in mind that you'll be walking over rocks to the boat. Then it's literally a 50-meter ride (I felt like it) and that's it. You dive into the water. We didn't rent a GoPro on the sharks and regretted it; you should definitely get one. Next, we went to Moalboal to fish for sardines. We rented a GoPro there, and it was the best decision. It cost 700 pesos. No waiting in line like with the sharks. We swam for about an hour. There was also a turtle) then lunch (the driver asked to choose between jellybee (I think I wrote it correctly) or Filipino cuisine, but you have to wait for it, we chose a quick bite and go home, in the end they picked us up at 4 am and we were at the hotel by 5 pm. An interesting trip. I was particularly impressed by the loading of people at low tide. Rubber shoes and pull-up pants are required, as you'll be wading through water.
Reviews: Snorkeling with Whale Sharks of Oslob and Sardines in Moalboal with Tumalog Falls

Oslob is a long way from Cebu, so the excursion started at 4 a.m. The car was comfortable, and we managed to get a nap on the way. Upon arrival, a local guide met us, held a queue, and took us to breakfast at a cafe with a beautiful view. We ate mango rice and our hotel lunchbox, changed into swim clothes, and waited comfortably. At the right moment, we returned to the pier, rented a GoPro, and boarded the boat. The ride lasts 30 minutes, and the sharks are amazing. Then we went to a waterfall, stood under the streams, and swam. We returned to the same cafe for lunch. This is probably the biggest drawback: the food was really bad, really bad. Then we headed to Moalboal. The sardine dive was well organized, and we even saw a turtle. Keep in mind that the sardines are quite deep, so it's difficult to reach them with a mask, and without fins, you can't – you have to look from above. Overall, the excursion was great, despite the lunch mishap.
