It was absolutely beautiful, but the trip was so thrilling. We drove up the mountain for almost an hour, setting off at 5 pm when it got dark. We thought we were about to be sold off, because at that time, news about people being sold into prostitution was all over the place. Plus, we couldn't communicate with the driver because of the language barrier. But after a tense wait, seeing the beautiful sunrise made the trip truly worthwhile.

It was great! The driver was very helpful, and we even gave him a tip. We spent a little less time at the elephant cafe, but the waterfall was really interesting, and the kids had a blast climbing it. We absolutely love Chiang Mai! Even after two weeks, we still wanted more. We'll definitely come back again!

Overall, the itinerary was well-planned. 🙂 The driver was punctual and dedicated. At the Sticky Waterfall, our clothes got wet and we wanted to dry them before getting back on the bus, and the driver readily agreed! Although the driver didn't speak English or Chinese, we still managed to communicate the time and location effectively! The elephant camp guide was lively and enthusiastic, explaining various aspects of elephant life. He spoke fluent English and Chinese and had high emotional intelligence! He even gave the elephants affectionate nicknames like martial arts masters and playfully interacted with them, bumping and rubbing against them, showing his deep love! When bathing and feeding the elephants, they seemed very happy, making gestures of gratitude and playing games with the tourists! The rafting experience was just average; the current wasn't strong, and it was sunny, but thankfully, they provided sun umbrellas on the bamboo rafts! Lunch was also good; we were full! 👍 In short, a good experience! 👍 I hope the elephants were genuinely happy, and I hope there will be less forced performances for them!
