We didn't try the typical Cape Verdean products. Otherwise, everything was fine, and the guide was friendly. We didn't go to Povacão Velho and stayed the rest of the time in Santa Mònica.

Sandboarding and swimming in the sea were great. Our guide, Emmanuel, was nice, helpful, and friendly. We recommend the tour; we saw turtles, but unfortunately, the sharks didn't show up. Otherwise, the tour was fantastic, and the ride in the pickup truck was fun too.

Everything from the welcome drink at the beginning to the hospitality, to the African dance and fire show to the food and the live music after was impeccable. Modou and Abdulie were incredible hosts. The food was some of the best food we have ever had and not just in Boa Vista. We opted to have some photos taken by one of the professional photographers there and not only were the photos incredible but the value for money for the photos and the whole evening in general can’t be beaten. We enjoyed it so much we are thinking of going separately from the excursion to have another evening there at the end of our stay. Don’t miss this trip you will not regret it!!
