Everything went great. Our guide spoke excellent English, and we saw all the pandas. The bus was comfortable. But photographing the pandas requires a good amount of noise.★

We had the best time and comfortable pace with Lee. She came early to meet us at our hotel and constantly check on us during the trip if the pace was OK etc. Ample chances to stop for toilet breaks and snacks etc. Lee was super knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and could explain everything clearly. She was super efficient and navigated the paths inside Panda research center very well and we saw many many pandas which were active!! What a treat! Also for Dujiangyan, she took us from the peak walking down to the various paths and definitely well planned and time executed well! Superb job, well done Lee and driver was doing a great job too. Will definitely recommend to friends and rebook in future when travels bring me back to Chengdu! Thank you Lee!★

I really liked the panda breeding facility. In the summer, the pandas are kept in glass enclosures in air-conditioned spaces. We watched the pandas eat fruit and bamboo for about 14 hours, but each enclosure varied.★

It was a wonderful trip! We booked a private, unguided tour for four people with Trip to the Chengdu Panda Base and the Leshan Buddha. We were worried that without Chinese, we'd have trouble understanding and communicating with the driver. But our worries were unfounded. They contacted us via WhatsApp the day before the trip, explained all the route details in English, and supervised us remotely throughout the entire trip. A huge thank you to Travel Concierge Zoey for organizing our trip, supporting us, resolving any unexpected situations, and having a great sense of humor! We definitely recommend her for foreign tourists!★

This was day tour - I’ll tell you three things about it: 1) It was fulfilling, 2) exhausting in the best of ways, 3) you will not get your fill of seeing so much of China’s history in this one day event, but it sure as hell tries! The tour guide, Cheryl is knowledgeable throughout the entire tour and will keep your mind engaged with fun facts - she even brought me breakfast(!!) due to a conflict of morning schedules with the hotel. The lunch spot will slap your taste buds awake, but only if you’re not a chicken and willing to dip the beef in the chilli powder. Book this event, get your steps (19,113) and snapshots in, and when you’re dropped off back at your hotel you’ll be absolutely content and glad you made this choice.
