Reviews: Kamikochi secret limited 1-day tour | Light hiking in the northern alps forest stream | Round-trip from Nagoya

The bus seating was arranged according to the order of the day's reports. The entire trip to Kamikochi took 3.5 hours. We took photos along the way and finally stopped at Kappa Bridge for an apple pie and a milk bread – the timing was perfect! Walking further down to Kappa Bridge might have been too late. I kept checking the weather forecast before setting off and changed the schedule at the last minute based on the weather, which proved to be a wise decision! If it had rained, it would have been cold, difficult to walk, and the scenery wouldn't have been as beautiful.
Reviews: JR Hokuriku Area Pass 4-Day (e-ticket)
Guest User2025-11-28
This ticket is primarily designed for a trip through the Hokuriku region, but it doesn't cover many areas. However, it's a good option if you plan to visit only a few key locations in the Hokuriku area. Ctrip's introduction of this ticket simplifies the purchasing process; otherwise, accessing the Japanese bus website would be far too complicated.
Reviews: JR Kansai-Hokuriku Area Pass (7-day e-ticket)

It's an incredibly convenient and easy-to-use pass, and the option to include a JR pass for free is especially popular. I wasn't trying to save money; I was just too lazy to compare routes and prices. Once you get used to JR, it's really convenient. When I'm going to Kyoto and then back to Osaka and Kobe, the JR trains are always delayed, so I can easily switch to the Hello Kitty Airport Line without worrying about finding a seat. Once you get used to it, it's actually more convenient than a Suica card.
