Things to do in Glasgow

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the “old fashioned house” and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again. We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This is simply a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, and there were almost no people on the road. Only the ancient buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which made people feel awe. [Scenery]

Glasgow Cathedral is one of Scotland’s most remarkable historic landmarks and a masterpiece of medieval architecture. The cathedral’s impressive Gothic design, stunning stained-glass windows, and peaceful atmosphere make it a fascinating place to explore. Walking through its ancient halls offers a glimpse into centuries of Scottish history and religious heritage. I was particularly impressed by the intricate stonework and the beautiful crypt beneath the cathedral. Located near the city center, it provides a quiet contrast to Glasgow’s vibrant urban life. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or culture, Glasgow Cathedral is a must-visit attraction in Scotland.

The food in the museum is not cheap. The Riverside Museum is a building near a church. The shape of the whole museum is very special.

Absolutely fabulous attraction in the heart of Glasgow's West End. The surrounding grounds are lushly verdant, a lovely wee coffee stall. Benches around the to soak of the fresh air & admire the beautiful gardens. A must see is Kibble Palace in the grounds with more tropical plants & fish and stunning sculptures under a beautiful glass roof.

Just returned from the UK, and this is Edinburgh's most worthwhile attraction—beautiful scenery and a castle steeped in history. I recommend visiting between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, including the 1 PM cannon viewing. It's windy on the hill, so a windproof jacket is advised. Of course, it's generally windy throughout Edinburgh. There are Chinese maps at the entrance, and you can rent an audio guide (with Chinese language options) for £4; listen to the audio at the key locations (around 8 or 9). The museum inside is worth a visit, mainly about the history of the Scottish army. In the afternoon, descending the hill connects to a walk along the Royal Mile, and you can have lunch nearby.

The large fountain in front of the People's Palace is comparable to the fountain in Edinburgh. The architectural style itself is quite distinctive and is now also used as a museum.
