The India Gate is located in the city of Delhi. It commemorates the Indian soldiers who died in the First World War and the Third Anglo-Afghan War, and is also the dividing line between the old and the new Delhi. Under the India Gate flag is the monument to the Unknown Soldier. The monument is made of black marble and has a model of a gun standing on it to commemorate the soldiers. Usually there are many soldiers around the gate of India, tourists can take pictures with the soldiers, but the consent of the soldiers is required. There will also be many small vendors nearby, where you can pick up some small souvenirs. There is also the Parliament Building near India Gate where you can visit and take pictures. If you have more time, you can come back to enjoy the night view. The lights on the white building are very shocking.New Delhi · 26.1 km from Gurugram

Southwest of the city center, this toilet museum is small but interesting. Sulabh means "public toilet" in Hindi, and visitors can explore the history of human toilet hygiene in this quirky museum. It exhibits human toilets from 2500 BC to the present, including those used in India from ancient times to the present. There are also free guided tours that make the tour lively and interesting.New Delhi · 16.1 km from Gurugram

Bangora Sahibi is near Connaught Place. It is the largest Sikh temple in Delhi. The white building is made of white marble, and the dome is covered with gold leaf, which is very luxurious and eye-catching. The interior of the temple is also dominated by white and gold colors. The clergy chanted scriptures, the believers sat on the carpet and prayed devoutly. The music echoed in the temple, and the whole scene was pious and holy. The pool water here is regarded as holy water by Sikhs, and many believers will come to fetch water specially.New Delhi · 25.7 km from Gurugram

Located in the southeast of Delhi, the Lotus Temple was built in 1986 and named after its shape resembling a blooming lotus flower. Although it is a Ha'i chapel, people of any race and religion can pray here, showing great inclusiveness. The temple is built with white marble, which looks like three layers of white petals from a distance, and the "lotus" is supported by nine clear water pools. The tall and empty temple has neither statues nor decorations such as carvings and murals. Rows of white marble benches and a podium for the chair were set on the smooth floor. There is no special ceremony required to enter the temple, and no matter what religion you have, anyone only needs to take off their shoes and enter the temple, sit down and meditate and pray.New Delhi · 25 km from Gurugram

After leaving the Laxmin Vilas Palace hotel, walk along the east bank of Fateh Lake for about 10 minutes to find the ferry terminal to Nehru Park New Delhi. From the boat heading to Nehru Park New Delhi, you can watch the sunset and feel a cool breeze. The park is also very beautiful and a great place to relax.New Delhi · 21.9 km from Gurugram

The Lakshmi Narayan Temple was built in 1622 and rebuilt by the Birla family between 1933 and 1939, hence its nickname, the Birla Temple. It was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939, who declared it open to visitors of all races and religions. The temple boasts not only a rich history but also a unique architectural style. Its predominantly red exterior features a massive red base, a golden shrine in the center, and three purplish-red towers atop. This layout embodies the typical "hall in front, tower in back" style of Hindu temples. The three towers are inlaid with white marble reliefs and railings, giving the entire structure a majestic appearance. The temple's principal deities are Lakshmi, the symbol of wealth, beauty, and prosperity, and her husband, Narayan (Vishnu, the patron saint of the Trimurti). During the two major Hindu festivals every year, Janmashtami and Deepavali, thousands of believers enter the temple to participate in the activities, and the scene is very spectacular.New Delhi · 25.6 km from Gurugram

It is the largest temple in India at present. The religious buildings that took 5 years and tens of thousands of people to build are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. While embodying Indian religious art, it is also a place for entertainment and leisure in New Delhi. The main building of the temple is composed of ochre red sandstone and white marble. It is located in the main hall with 148 full-size elephant statues, a total of 9 domes and 239 decorative columns. There is a 3-meter-high gilded statue of Narayan and more than 2,000 Hindu statues in the temple, with different expressions. The pillars are exquisitely carved, and the murals are colorful. The whole temple is gorgeous and elegant, and exquisite religious art is reflected everywhere.New Delhi · 29.8 km from Gurugram

I appreciate the windows of India Gate the most. They are perfect stone carvings! They are shocking. The windows are carved at equal distances. Even if they are processed by modern machines, there will be a large error. But you know, these windows are so exquisite, at least visually, without any difference. It is really shocking.

I love the creativity of this place. Perhaps the most underrated invention of all time is the humble toilet, something so important that we often overlook it. This museum tries to show that. It's not too big and can be visited in less than an hour. A very informative collection of toilets.

A truly serene and beautiful spiritual gem in the heart of Delhi! The Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is stunning with its pristine white marble architecture, golden domes, and the peaceful Sarovar (holy pond) that reflects the entire complex beautifully. The entire place is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which adds to the calm and devotional atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, history, or a spiritual visit in Delhi. Must-visit! The only minor downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and evenings, but that’s understandable given its popularity.

This massive garden is a beautiful place to spend an evening! We went on a nice breezy day which made our outing even more mesmerising. The endless number of walkways, duck lake and picturesque pieces of monuments string a very happening outing all together. Click a bunch of pictures at this historical place and relax in the lap of nature.

The Lotus Temple is really a huge lotus-shaped building with a very rough design style. I don’t know the characteristics of this building. I have not entered the temple, but have only seen it from a distance. It is in line with the rough design style of Indians and is very representative.

It is a good choice for a morning walk or jog. In spring, the flowers are in full bloom and it is a beautiful park. People and their families have picnics/play there, which is very pleasant. The picture below was taken on a weekend with good weather.

The Shrine of Nizamuddin is not far from Humayun's Tomb, but it is not easy to find. I remember that it was a narrow alley. The further you go, the thicker the Muslim atmosphere. Although it is a free place to visit, Muslims look at me, an obvious pagan, and they are not friendly. I also hope that there is no eye contact. I originally wanted to take two girls with me, so I went to inquire in advance. The result is obvious. I feel that I can't protect myself--! There is basically no chance to take out my mobile phone to take pictures. I don't want to cause any trouble. There are many vendors at the door, changing all kinds of tricks to let you buy flowers and send shoes. Every time you walk a short distance forward, you are shouted that you should take off your shoes, and then you want to leave them with them. Is it a place where you have to take them off? It's very simple. Just look at others. It's not a bad idea to carry your own shoes, but you must prepare a big bag so that people don't find out that you have shoes in it. If you carry your shoes directly with your hands, you will definitely be scolded.

Tughlaqabad Fort is one of the finest specimens of pure Islamic architecture and has the touch of Sultanate sturdiness about its fortifications. Popular as one of the best-visited places in Delhi, the entire premise takes around an hour or two to look around and offer great opportunities for history enthusiasts and shutterbugs.
