Since 1999, the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle colony has formed the habit of basking and resting ashore at Green Turtle Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. The natural environment of Green Turtle Beach is what turtles love: abundant food - seaweed, reef-covered bays - to keep out large waves and predators (sharks), and wide sand (for warmth and rest).Haleiwa · 3.2 km from downtown
Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor is located on the southern coast of Oahu, Hawaii, west of downtown Honolulu. It is a natural deep-water harbor extending inland, surrounded by land on three sides with only the southern entrance facing the sea. On the morning of December 7, 1941, the Japanese naval air force launched a surprise attack on the U.S. Pacific Fleet stationed here. The battleship USS Arizona sank in less than ten minutes after being hit, with over a thousand officers and crew perishing aboard, marking America's full entry into World War II. Today, the harbor area has been designated as a historical attraction, comprising four venues: the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the submarine museum, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. A full tour typically takes most of a day. Visits usually begin at the visitor center of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial: two exhibit halls display artifacts, photos, and footage depicting the ships, aircraft, and casualties on both sides before and after the attack. After watching the documentary, visitors take a shuttle boat to the white memorial spanning the sunken wreckage of the USS Arizona in the middle of the harbor. The bridge-shaped structure does not touch the ship's remains. Its 21 openings symbolize the 21-gun salute honoring the fallen. Through floor openings, visitors can view the rusted hull beneath the water, where oil droplets—known as "black tears"—still seep to the surface. The memorial hall at the far end bears the names of the thousand-plus crew members who went down with the ship, and the U.S. flag on the sunken mast is raised daily. This is a resting place for sailors, and visitors are expected to maintain solemn silence throughout the tour. While the USS Arizona witnessed the beginning of the Pacific War, the Battleship Missouri on Ford Island marked its end—Japan signed its surrender on its deck on September 2, 1945. Visitors can explore the deck, cabins, and bridge, with views of the white memorial across the water. The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, housed in the original hangars attacked that day, still bears visible bullet holes on its walls. The island also features memorials for the USS Oklahoma and USS Utah. Access to Ford Island requires a shuttle transfer from the visitor center. The Bowfin submarine, docked nearby, conducted multiple wartime patrols; visitors can step inside to experience life in a submariner's quarters. Practical tip: Security is strict, and regular backpacks are not allowed, so travel light.Honolulu · 29.7 km from Haleiwa

Located on the west coast of the island. The canyon is about 16 kilometers long and 1 kilometer deep. Compared with the Grand Canyon in the United States and the Blue Mountains in Australia, the momentum is not too spectacular. The main feature of the canyon is the iron element in the soil, which appears red after oxidation. With yellow soil, green vegetation, blue sky, and a white waterfall, it is worth seeing under the combination of multiple colors.Honolulu · 7 km from Haleiwa

We had a great time at the ranch. Our guide was amazing! Arrived just in time for our tour, be sure to go to the ticket counter before lining up for your timed tour. Our guide explained well the ins and outs of the ranch, not just the movies shot there but the history and work being done beyond the big screen. Highly recommended.

Every shot is a beautiful sight, very pleasing to the eye. The largest island in Hawaii is Oahu, the most prosperous and youthful, known as a surfer's paradise. Pearl Harbor is the beautiful pain of this island.

Excellent! It's worthwhile to learn about the local customs and traditions of each island and the different styles and cultures of China's islands. Five days is recommended if possible. Renting a car is more convenient; you can go almost anywhere. I don't recommend staying in the city center; parking is too expensive—$60 a day.

There are many famous beaches on the northern coast of Oahu. My favorite is Green Turtle Beach in the northeast of Oahu. Here, we really saw precious green sea turtles. The staff used ropes to circle the area around the turtles to prevent tourists from entering and disturbing the turtles. The ecology here is really great.

Japan killed 2,403 Americans during the Pearl Harbor attack and 35,000,000 Chinese during the world war 2. Seeing the USS Arizona Memorial and crying Chinese baby lost parents is hard. The site kept and explained the history well. I highly recommend everyone who like learning about history and love peace to visit. I feel this is the most important site to visit in Honolulu. 珍珠港

This is Maano Falls Park. If you just come to see the waterfall, you will be a little disappointed because it cannot be compared with the large waterfalls in China, but the natural scenery here is quite powerful and beautiful!

There is a very large beach here with many tourists. Of course, this is a park. In addition to the beach, there are other landforms. For example, not far from the beach are jungles and valleys where you can explore.

It was almost evening when we passed Shark Bay. We saw a very beautiful sunset. There were not many tourists in Shark Bay. It might be because there is not much water fun here. Most of the beaches are reef-based. It is a special beach.

The first photo was taken at Hanauma Bay. Because it was raining, we didn’t go snorkeling and went straight to the sunset. I didn’t expect that the weather there was not as good as Hanauma Bay… The wind was super strong and it was cloudy, so I guess I couldn’t see the sunset…

Great little beach! The water was so clear when we visited! If you have snorkel gear then I definitely recommend stopping and exploring the ocean a bit.
