Things to do in Hengshui

Take bus No. 18 from Hengshui Railway Station and get off at Garden Expo Park Station. It takes about half an hour to get there. After entering the park, you can take a boat. The first boat leaves at 8:50 and mainly goes to Plum Blossom Island and Sansheng Island.

This is a very cost-effective scenic spot. You can interact closely with small animals and even bring your own vegetables (carrots) to experience the fun of feeding them. The parking lot is large, and parking costs 10 RMB with no time limit.

The Jizhou Ancient City Site is located in the Beiguan Village of Jizhou Town, Jizhou City. It is a section of earthen wall in the northwest of the Han Dynasty Jizhou Ancient City, extending from northeast to southwest, with a total length of 4,500 meters and a distribution area of ​​2.25 million square meters. The ditches along the west and north sides of the Han Dynasty City Site are the moats of the original city.

Sun Jing Academy is very worthwhile to study here. It is the first etiquette and filial piety study base. The traditional etiquette and cultural connotation is really great. The decoration is very classical, as if you have traveled back to ancient times.

The food street here is a bit quiet. It is between Heping West Road and Jixin West Road. You can walk in from the small road next to Jixin Hotel to the south. There are only a handful of restaurants inside now. There is a hot pot restaurant at the intersection, an unnamed restaurant further in, a Shuangxing spareribs restaurant that is very good, and a Panger hot pot restaurant. They are all fly restaurants, but very down-to-earth.

Mr. Li Donghua, our guide at Xiucai Shuo, was meticulous and attentive in his explanations and provided warm and thoughtful service to tourists. He eloquently recounted the history of the Forbidden City in Beijing, allowing visitors to fully appreciate its profound and long history. It was a truly worthwhile trip. Since I was in Beijing, I had to visit the Great Wall. The scenery there is irreplaceable. Taking the cable car up felt short, but it saved me a lot of energy, allowing me to use it for climbing the Great Wall. 😀 The Great Wall winds its way up and stretches far into the distance, it's truly magnificent. I heard that some sections of the northern route are currently under renovation.

On a sunny day, I came to Hengshui Museum with anticipation. The museum is located in the Hengshui Cultural and Art Center. The building is magnificent and eye-catching. Walking into the museum, it seems to travel through time and space. The Jizhou Ding in the prologue hall is particularly eye-catching, symbolizing the long history of Hengshui as the head of the nine states. Visiting along the exhibition hall, every cultural relic carries a heavy story. In the historical and cultural exhibition hall, I saw cultural relics from ancient times to modern times, and learned about the evolution of Hengshui's system and cultural origins; in the exhibition hall of celebrities of all dynasties, the deeds of many outstanding figures made me deeply admire; the red culture exhibition hall made me feel the revolutionary spirit of the people of Hengshui. What impressed me most was the exhibition hall of intangible cultural heritage and folk culture, which displayed Hengshui's traditional skills such as paper cutting and inner painting, which were exquisite and amazing. The museum's display method is also very modern. Through the combination of physical display, real scene construction and digital display, I feel as if I am on the scene and feel the charm of Hengshui culture. After visiting the museum, I have a deeper understanding of Hengshui's history and culture, and I love this city even more. Hengshui Museum is not only a hall that displays history, but also a place where people can feel cultural inheritance and innovation.

宝云寺，衡水市内的宝云位于西南部。碑石记载始建于隋，其实早在南北朝时，此处已有寺庙。相传，在其鼎盛之时，"寺域广占三十亩，殿堂多有近百座，樵楼钟声惊千里，成年累月拥香客"。千年不死草，和宝云塔是寺内重点景观。
