Tiantai Mountain Scenic Spot, located in Qili Town, Hong'an County, Huanggang City (about 33 kilometers north of the county seat), is named after the main peak "mountain-shaped platform, like a natural creation". Valley, Dutianhe Drifting Area, Xiangshan Lake, Tiantai Town and other scenic spots, here are densely forested, surrounded by mountains, full of clear streams and lush valleys, and the high temperature in summer does not exceed 35 degrees, which is an ideal mountain tour to escape the heat. Good place. It usually takes a day to visit Tiantai Mountain. After entering the scenic spot, tourists can walk through Lijiumen, Xiyuanmen, Datianmen and other scenic spots in turn, and can reach the top of Tiantai Mountain. There are four Taitai, Zhongtai, Shutai and Xiaotai on the top of Tiantai Peak. A large number of literati, such as Li Zhi, a writer and thinker of the Ming Dynasty, and Geng Ding, the minister of the Ministry of Housing, came here to give lectures and discuss the Tao, and left a large number of poems and songs. The cultural landscape of Tiantai Mountain is also very rich. You can go to the Tiantai Temple in the mountains to worship incense and pray for blessings. There is a Buddhist Zen music temple in the temple, where you can listen to the leisurely Zen music. There is also an indoor white marble Buddha statue in the temple. Tourists who like adventure can play adventure rafting on the Duotian River in the mountains. The total length of the rafting river is about 6 kilometers, and the rafting time is about 2.5 hours. The canyons on both sides of the river are deep and the beach is full of rough waves. Boarding a rubber boat and going down the river can experience the fun of "boat drifting in the jungle, people swimming in the painting". You can also go boating on the scenic Xiangshan Lake. The water of Xiangshan Lake is clear and surrounded by islands like emeralds inlaid in the water. The island is lush with trees, especially when it rains, the lake is misty and rainy, and the mountains in the distance appear and disappear.Hong'an · 27.3 km from downtown

Many high mountain peaks are located within Tiantangzhai Scenic Area. If you go to of the mountain at Tiantangzhai, you will have a glorious, unobstructed 360° view of the mountain peaks rolling away from you. Be sure to view a sunrise in the early morning or a sunset at night, during which the scenery is at its most spectacular. After rain has cleared out the sky, you can climb the mountain early in the morning to see the “cloud sea.” Tiantangzhai has been fought over by military strategists since ancient times and has been the focal point of many major campaigns. This was also an important area of action in the push of the Liu-Deng army into the Dabie Mountains.Luotian County · 49.4 km from downtown

Fall Foliage Sightseeing in Huanggang

4.7
Huanggang, a city located in the eastern part of Hubei, is best viewed from October to November every year. When the autumn is infused, it turns into a gorgeous red leaf scroll, telling the romance of autumn with the magnificent scenery of the forests. There are mountains crisscrossing in Huanggang, and the remnants of the Dabie Mountains run through it. The unique geographical environment and mild climate have bred a rich variety of red leaf trees such as cotinus coggygria, Chinese tallow tree, and maple. When the autumn wind blows across the mountains, the chlorophyll in the leaves fades quietly, and the red leaves all over the mountains bloom one after another. The various colors of red leaves are scattered and set off against the vigorous pines and cypresses, the quaint villages, and the winding streams, forming a layered autumn picture. The misty peaks in the distance are looming, and the white-walled and black-tiled villages at the foot of the mountain are rising with curling smoke, adding a bit of poetry and fireworks to the red leaf scenery. Whether you are climbing high to see the magnificent view of the colorful forests, or strolling along the stream to feel the tranquility of the red leaves reflected in the water, the red leaves in Huanggang can bring a soul-stirring visual feast, making people indulge in the unique charm of autumn in eastern Hubei.China · Luotian County

Wenmei VillageA plum-themed immersive cultural destination blending literature and charm, this approximately 300-acre park features Ming and Qing-style architectural clusters built along mountain contours, with dark-tiled white walls interspersed among expansive plum groves. Every winter and spring, over ten varieties of plum blossoms, including palace pink, cinnabar, and green calyx, bloom in succession, their subtle fragrance mingling with the ancient architecture's upturned eaves. Visitors can stroll through the winding paths of the garden, discovering cultural spaces like the Plum Shadow Study and the Plum Inquiry Hall, or enjoy live Huangmei opera performances at the Rice Field Theater, where traditional art harmonizes with natural scenery. Guests can also participate in hands-on workshops at the intangible cultural heritage center, learning embroidery and bamboo weaving, or study the Song dynasty tea ceremony with masters at the Zen Tea House. The park's specially designed night tour system adds extra charm: light installation art along Moonlight Plum Path and holographic projection shows on the central lake island give traditional cultural elements a modern twist. For families with children, seasonal activities like rice planting and fish catching in the farming experience area, as well as plum grove sketching, provide hands-on educational opportunities to connect with nature. The park preserves native vegetation belts, utilizes mountain terrain to build rainwater collection systems, and interplants local crops among the plum groves, creating a sustainable view of agricultural landscape.Huangmei · 11.4 km from downtown

A great place to escape the summer heat. It feels like all the older folks in Wuhan come here to play mahjong. The scenery on the mountain is beautiful, and the air is fresh. It's very cool in the height of summer. It's definitely a place worth recommending. The staff at the scenic area are also very friendly. A big thumbs up! No wonder it's a newly upgraded 5A scenic area. Overall, the experience is excellent.

Su Dongpo, one of the Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, pioneered the bold and unrestrained style of ci poetry. His poems "Nian Nu Jiao: Reminiscences of Chibi" and the two "Odes to the Red Cliff," written in Huangzhou, transformed personal sorrow into a sense of cosmic vastness, achieving a pinnacle in the history of Chinese literature. He proved with his life that adversity not only tempers character but also gives birth to the greatest art. The Red Cliff of Su Dongpo in Huangzhou is worth visiting.

The air was fresh and pleasant, but unfortunately it was a cloudy and rainy day, shrouded in fog. The sun peeked out briefly on the way down the mountain. The scenery would have been absolutely stunning if the weather had been better. It was a bit of a shame.

This is a tourist attraction I visit every time I travel. It was my first time here, and it was full of surprises. The place isn't very big, but it's still a good place to bring kids to play. The drone fireworks show at night was beautiful, and releasing sky lanterns was a very ceremonial experience.

This scenic area is beautiful! Growing up in Hubei, I never knew such a place existed. It has pine trees similar to those in Huangshan. We took a shuttle bus up the mountain and then walked down, which took about two hours. Going down was quite strenuous on the knees; our whole family had sore legs the next day. Those with good stamina can choose to hike up and take the shuttle bus down. You can also go to Yuanmeng Lake for free, but my parents were too tired to walk, so we didn't go. The hot pot restaurants on the ancient street at the foot of the mountain are quite delicious and reasonably priced, making it a good weekend getaway near Wuhan. However, the steps in the scenic area are really narrow, and my chunky sneakers with their large soles were very inconvenient; I felt like I was going to fall many times.

The ski resort is large, with three slopes: advanced, intermediate, and beginner, suitable for skiers of different levels. The snow surface is very smooth, and the beginner slope is not steep at all, making it perfect for beginners to practice. The process from exchanging tickets to collecting equipment was very smooth, and the overall experience was good.

Surprisingly, it was alright. You can get close to the animals. The park is large, and it wasn't crowded even on weekends. Tips: 1. Buy tickets one day in advance; there are no discounts for same-day purchases. 2. Mobility scooters are allowed in the self-driving area. It's recommended not to drive your own car (the money spent is enough to rent a scooter). Using a scooter is charged by the minute; a two-seater scooter costs 90 per hour. In the self-driving area, the scooter has no doors or windows obstructing the view, providing a better experience. The walking area is too large, so you'll need to rent one anyway. 3. Pay attention to the show and circus times to avoid missing them. It's best to arrive half an hour early for the circus to secure front-row seats. 4. Don't feed the animals treats. Bring some carrot sticks, fruit, and sunflower seeds; carrots are a bit expensive inside the park. 5. Bring binoculars for children. 6. Prepare mosquito repellent and sunscreen.
