Mendenhall Glacier

Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure
Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure is a unique botanical garden-style outdoor experience in Juneau. Following a 1984 landslide, a large number of uprooted spruce and hemlock trees were creatively planted upside down by the owner. With their roots facing upward to form natural planters, they are filled with hanging begonias, fuchsias, and other flowers, creating stunning upside-down flower towers that were once named one of the most creative landmarks in the United States. This rainforest botanical garden, covering approx. 20 hectares, offers guided tours that travel through lush temperate rainforests, past flower gardens, waterfalls, and rock gardens. When you go to Alaska, it is a must to visit the glacier in Juneau. The glacier is very spectacular and the scene is quite shocking. The area of the glacier is very large, just like a lake, which is amazing.
