I drank watermelon juice, ate crab soup and fried rice, and while eating buo pinpin, I got a recommendation from a local man (cabbage bag), petted a dog, and took home some Keelung fish cakes (Wang Kee Tempura No. 16). I was there for about an hour and a half, but Keelung was so good. The mini whiteboard I bought at DAISO in Keelung was so convenient for ordering that I cried (a technique I learned on my last day in Taiwan)

Our visit to the Taipei Children's Amusement Park turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. At first, I wasn’t really expecting much from this theme park—but overall, it ended up being a great experience for our family. It happened to be raining during our visit, but thankfully, many of the rides and attractions are indoors. Because of that, we were still able to enjoy almost everything without the weather getting in the way.Our daughter had so much fun exploring the different rides, and it was wonderful to see her enjoying herself despite the rain. The park felt very family-friendly, well-organized, and easy to navigate. All in all, it exceeded our expectations and gave us a really fun and memorable day. Definitely worth a visit, rain or shine!

Xishan Ancient Irrigation Trail - Located in Xishan Community (Banling Settlement), Shilin District, Taipei City, this is a gentle, cool, and family-friendly ancient trail. The trail is approximately 0.5 kilometers one way, taking only about 30 to 40 minutes round trip. Along the way, you'll find preserved washing pools and foot-washing pools used by early settlers, as well as century-old hackberry trees. The trail ends at a cool, refreshing waterfall, making it perfect for escaping the summer heat. Cultural History: The trail restoration incorporates the imagery of a "water village," preserving the cool wells used by farmers for washing and sharpening knives, showcasing a rural charm. Ecological Landscape: Dense forests adjacent to the Qingque River create a natural air-conditioned environment. Along the way, you can also see century-old trees and cherry blossoms and bougainvillea that bloom seasonally. Waterfall at the End: At the end of the trail, there are water pipes and a clear, cool waterfall, creating a pristine and beautiful environment.

Raohe Night Market is a popular and more manageable alternative to larger night markets like Shilin. It’s famous for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious street food (especially the pepper pork buns), and cultural setting near Ciyou Temple. Visitors praise its variety, reasonable prices, and lively vibe, though it can get crowded on weekends. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot for food lovers and travelers wanting an authentic local experience.

This time booked an indoor hot spring box, enough privacy 👍🏻 but smaller than imagined, and the box is more dim, if the larger room I believe there will be a better enjoyment ☺️ Recommended to soak in the hot spring in autumn and winter, summer to really too hot, some not suitable, especially pay attention to the hotel lobby very large air conditioning, a cold and hot very easy to cool 🙈

A museum in a very beautiful location and a building with a story. Carefully tells the story of the small island's vicissitudes of life, flowers, birds, fish and insects. Whether it is children or adults, coming here is a good experience. Outside is the 228 Memorial Park, which is rich in greenery and full of fun.

The Golden Waterfall has been oxidized by heavy metal ore deposits in the riverbed for many years, forming a unique golden waterfall landscape. Local residents call it the Golden Waterfall. The small gravel next to the waterfall rock is a bit orange. The reason is that when mining was done, the long-term deposition of metal minerals flowed out after rainwater infiltration, causing the Jinguashi Waterfall to be polluted by heavy metal arsenic. So just come here to see the waterfall, and never touch it to avoid corrosion. After finishing the food trip to Jiuzhufen Old Street, go to the Golden Waterfall by the way. From this road, you will see a waterfall in the valley, which is the Golden Waterfall. The geology here is full of metals, so the color of the river water becomes like this, and this waterfall is different from ordinary regular waterfalls. It flows down layer by layer. Looking at the color and the sound of water, it is actually better than expected. In addition to the green primitive hills around the waterfall, it is also a unique place.
