Things to do in Lincheng

Baiyun Cave is only a cave, you can't climb the mountain. I walked around inside for an hour, and it was still beautiful under the colorful lights. You must bring water when climbing Tiantai Mountain. There is no one selling things on the mountain. It is pure climbing and the top of the mountain is pure natural scenery.

The scenic spot is really nice, but we went there at the wrong time. It rained all the time during the National Day holiday, which caused many attractions in the scenic spot to be flooded and unable to be visited, so we could only take a quick look. But overall, I feel that it is a very good tourist destination during normal times!

Entering the Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area, you will see thousands of acres of ancient cypress trees, which are lush and green, with a simple and elegant temperament. The magical and upright main peak of Tiantai Mountain is like a dignified and solemn Tiantai Sleeping Buddha, forming a wonderful natural beauty. In the grass, in front of the flowers, in the stone streams, and in the gurgling streams, you can scoop up a handful of water and drink the sweet and pure water. Because the cypress has a well-developed root system and has Chinese medicinal properties, and there are many other Chinese herbal medicines in the mountains, the water here is also full of spiritual energy. Drinking it can cure diseases and strengthen the body, and using it for bathing can treat many stubborn skin diseases.

The Zhaozhou Bridge Scenic Area, also known as Anji Bridge, was built over 1400 years ago under the supervision of the Sui Dynasty craftsman Li Chun. It is the world's oldest and best-preserved open-spandrel stone arch bridge, often referred to as the "Number One Bridge Under Heaven." It is a 4A-level scenic area and a national key cultural relics protection unit. The Zhaozhou Bridge itself spans the Xiao River, featuring a single-arch design with four smaller arches added to the shoulders—a groundbreaking innovation in bridge construction. This not only reduced the bridge's weight but also helped divert floodwaters during the rainy season. The bridge's bluestone railings are carved with lifelike dragons and mythical beasts. Currently, climbing the bridge is prohibited, but visitors can admire and photograph it up close from the banks. The Ancient Bridge Exhibition Hall introduces the bridge's construction principles and historical evolution, showcasing old photographs and models to help visitors understand the engineering wisdom of the ancients. The Li Chun Statue stands at the entrance of the scenic area, commemorating the designer of this famous bridge. The riverside gardens along the Xiao River offer excellent views of the bridge's reflection in the water.

How could I possibly miss a trip to Mount Tai in my lifetime? And since I was there, how could I not challenge myself at night? I climbed to the top in over four hours, then huddled around like a beggar, finding places to sleep, hahaha, what an amazing experience!

A single ticket to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden grants access for three days, which is very convenient! 👍 There are so many attractions inside! We spent two days there, enjoying all the attractions and watching performances like "Yue Fei's Spear Against Little Liang Wang" and "The Defense of Bianjing (Kaifeng) in the Northern Song Dynasty." When visiting Taiyuan, a trip to Jinci Temple is a must. Originally dedicated to Tang Shuyu, the temple was destroyed during the Song Dynasty and rebuilt. Now it enshrines the Holy Mother, so the existing buildings date back to the Northern Song Dynasty, boasting a very long history. Explore this historical site and appreciate the superb architectural skills of the ancients.

It was really fun! Even though it was outside the National Day holiday, it was still quite crowded. The NPC interactions were great. The iron flower display is a must-see. The music and parade at night were especially exciting. It's a place I would definitely fly back to.

It's very worthwhile, but it's also very crowded, which might slightly detract from the overall experience. However, the people are incredibly welcoming, and there are many beautiful spots for taking photos. The food is also affordable and inexpensive, which kids enjoy. I'll definitely go back when it's less crowded.
