Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty stands on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, officially named "Liberty Enlightening the World." It was a gift from the people of France to the United States, created to commemorate American independence and completed in 1886. Designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, its internal steel framework was crafted by Gustave Eiffel, the designer of the Eiffel Tower. She holds a torch aloft in her right hand and a tablet inscribed with "July 4, 1776" in her left, with broken chains at her feet. The seven spikes on her crown symbolize the seven continents and seven seas, while the theme of breaking free from*********and embracing liberty is woven into every detail. Reaching the crown is the signature experience here: ascend via the narrow double-helix staircase inside the statue to overlook New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline from the crown's observation windows. Crown access has limited availability and requires advance reservations. The staircase is steep and narrow with no elevator, so travelers with acrophobia or limited physical stamina should assess their capabilities. Opting for the pedestal observatory still allows close-up views of the statue and panoramic harbor vistas. The original torch replaced in 1984 is now displayed at the Statue of Liberty Museum on the island, which opened in 2019, fully presenting the statue's construction history and symbolic significance. The adjacent Ellis Island Immigration Museum recounts the stories of millions of immigrants who entered the U.S. here to begin new lives, often combined with a visit to Liberty Island. △Statue of LibertyCrown visit: one of the must-do experiences is climbing up to the statue's crown. Travelers can access the crown via a narrow spiral staircase and enjoy the magnificent views of the city skyline. △: Closely connected, the visit is a fascinating experience. This museum tells the story of millions of immigrants who passed through to start new lives in the United States. △Statue of LibertyPedestal access: Travelers can also enter the pedestal to observe the statue and its intricate details up close. The pedestal also houses a museum showcasing the history and significance of the statue.United States · New York

Liberty Bellis located in Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia. Today, the bell is housed in a transparent glass pavilion. Looking through the tall glass curtain wall, Independence Hall serves as its perfect backdrop. The bell was commissioned by the Pennsylvania Provincial Assembly from craftsmen in London. After arriving in Philadelphia, it was recast twice by local craftsmen before being hung in the steeple of the State House (now Independence Hall), where it was used in the early years to summon lawmakers and citizens. In the mid-19th century, abolitionists noticed the inscription on the bell and popularized it,the name "Liberty Bell" spread from there, and it also gradually came to be seen as a symbol of the spirit of freedom in Philadelphia and the United States. A corridor on one side of the pavilion features exhibits that tell the story of the bell's origins and its connection to the abolitionist and civil rights movements. At the end of the corridor, you can get a close-up view of the bell, which weighs about one ton: the crack on the bell is clearly visible, and the bell is inscribed with a famous verse from the Bible's Book of Leviticus: "Proclaim liberty to all the people of the world."Philadelphia · 37.1 km from Montgomery County

Independence National Historical Park

Independence National Historical Park is an open-air historic site consisting of red-brick Georgian buildings, green spaces, and plazas, where the United States Declaration of Independence was born. The park is surrounded by trees, and bronze statues stand among the plazas and gardens. Among them, the "Signers" statue pays tribute to the founding fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence. Independence Hall, with its red bricks and white windows, features a towering white bell tower that serves as the park's landmark and is a popular subject for visitors' photos. The highlight of the park is Independence Hall: on the first floor, there are two main halls. One was the courtroom of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and the other, the Assembly Room, was the venue for the Continental Congress and the Constitutional Convention, where the Declaration of Independence was debated and passed. The interior is furnished according to the layout of the 18th-century meetings. The "Rising Sun Chair," used by George Washington while presiding over the Constitutional Convention, is an original piece that has survived to this day. It was while looking at the sun carved on the back of the chair—unsure whether it was rising or setting—that Benjamin Franklin became convinced at the signing of the Constitution that it was a "rising sun." North of Independence Hall, in the Liberty Bell Center, the famous cracked Liberty Bell is displayed in a glass pavilion. The early repairs on the bell and the crack that silenced it forever are clearly visible. Adjacent to its west side is Congress Hall, which served as the meeting place of the U.S. Congress during the ten years Philadelphia was the capital; both Washington's second inauguration and Adams's inauguration took place here. Not far to the east is the Fragments of Franklin Court, the site of Benjamin Franklin's former residence, and the Old Second Bank of the United States building, which houses rows of portraits of the founding figures. The historic sites throughout the park are basically within walking distance.Philadelphia · 37.1 km from Montgomery County

One of the most important places in the United States to commemorate the independence movement, this huge metal bell is quite impressive, with some clearly visible signs of wear. There are also several nearby memorials that are worth visiting.

MoMA is a must-see for anyone interested in modern and contemporary art. The collection is impressive, with famous works alongside many pieces I hadn’t seen before. I really enjoyed exploring the different floors and discovering something new in each gallery. I’d recommend allowing at least a couple of hours and going earlier in the day if possible. A memorable cultural experience in the heart of Manhattan. 🎨🖼️✨

After finishing a long and stressful project, I booked this hotel specifically to treat myself to two days off. Staying here not only allowed my exhausted body to fully rest, but also revitalized my spirit, which had been drained by the project. The hotel's spa experience completely exceeded my expectations, the room's audio-visual equipment was professional enough, and they even thoughtfully provided DVDs of my favorite genre. After a bath, I curled up on the sofa and watched an old movie, forgetting all about work; I felt completely healed, inside and out. The hotel doesn't rely on overpriced hype to create a high-end feel; every experience is solid and thoughtful, making it a top choice for a relaxing stay. Its exceptional quality and extraordinary elegance, designed specifically for healing, are hidden in every detail.
