Beigang Village is Pingtan Islanda stone fishing village that backs the mountain and faces the sea, located on the eastern foothills of Junshan. The village is known for its extensive stone houses. There are 241 old houses remaining, mainly built from blue-gray granite, and small stones are placed on the roof tiles to keep them from blowing away. The mottled stone walls and varying tile tones, together with the green mountains behind and the azure sea in front, form a scene where mountain, village, and sea meet, making it one of the representative villages for understanding Pingtan's stone houses. The village's most characteristic experience is the singing stones: at the village entrance and beside workshops stand several stone gongs and drums made from volcanic rock taken from Junshan, and lightly tapping different parts with a small hammer produces distinct musical notes. The old stone houses have gradually been converted into homestays, cafes, and craft workshops, and the alleys are dotted with creative shops offering indigo dyeing and shell handicrafts. When touring, stroll through the bluestone alleys; bougainvillea on the walls, wooden signs, and the old stone walls all make excellent photo subjects. At the seafront in front of the village, gentle waves lap among dark reefs, and walking the coastal boardwalk lets you see fishing boats. On spring and summer nights, you may sometimes encounter bioluminescent blue tears near the wharf.Pingtan County · 10.3 km from downtown

Step into Pingtan Donghai Wonderland and witness the spectacular sea erosion created by nature. Millions of years of ocean erosion have carved out this giant natural vertical shaft, with steep, dark rock walls hanging straight down, and a dark cave at the bottom connecting to the vast East China Sea. At high tide, giant waves surge into the shaft, crashing against the rock walls with a thunderous roar, the surging white waves creating a breathtaking spectacle.

After exploring the Beibu Gulf Corridor on the northern route, we chose a nearby seafood restaurant, Xiaobailou, for lunch. It's worth mentioning that this is the only restaurant in the Beibu Gulf area, and the owners are three veterans—easygoing and reliable. The landlady is very attentive, helping us order and reminding us of portion sizes. The seafood is fresh, prepared in a home-style way, without being overly flavorful, and the taste is excellent value for money. That evening, we stayed at the Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is great for visiting the northern route attractions, convenient for going to Changjiang'ao and the Windmill Forest. Overall, the trip was hassle-free in terms of both food and accommodation, without any unnecessary hassles. If you're visiting the Beibu Gulf area and want to eat seafood or find a place to stay, these two places are worth trying.

Located closest to Taiwan, it holds unique geographical significance. The unique coastal erosion landforms and stunning views of the azure sea and sky make it perfect for photography. The scenic area is quite large, but sightseeing buses are available, making the visit less tiring. Be aware that the seaside is windy and sunny, so be sure to take precautions against sun and wind.

Excellent, definitely worth a second visit! I recommend 5 hours for your visit. Prices are reasonable! Not very developed, it has a natural feel. Wear a raincoat; you can't use an umbrella in the rain. It's very windy!

When visiting Pingtan, Longwangtou Beach is a must-visit. It's a popular beach among locals, with soft sand and a wide open sea. The sunrise is especially beautiful, and in the evening, it's perfect for strolling, enjoying the sea breeze, and wading in the waves – suitable for both adults and children. Afterwards, head to Beibu Gulf and have dinner at the Seafood Restaurant. It's run by three veterans, and this is the only one in Pingtan, so make sure you go to the right one. The owner is very friendly and provides excellent service. The seafood is freshly caught that day, authentic in taste, and clearly priced, so you don't have to worry about being overcharged. For accommodation, choose the Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. It has a relaxed atmosphere, is clean, and many young people stay there, so you can exchange ideas about island travel routes. I often recommend this itinerary to friends from out of town. It's a one-stop shop for seeing the sea, eating seafood, and finding a place to rest. Follow this route when visiting Pingtan – it's hassle-free and avoids any pitfalls. Highly recommended!

Pingtan Island is a really interesting place. I felt relaxed when I arrived there. The sea water is incredibly blue and the beach is as fine as flour. It was my first time in Pingtan and I chose to stay in this hotel. It is very close to the beach and the viewing point of Blue Tears is really great. It is the best choice for tourists!

After visiting Beigang Village, staying at the nearby Shuangchuang Cluster was very convenient. The seafood at Xiaobailou was fresh, the terrace had a great atmosphere for watching the sunset, and the owner could even take you to see bioluminescent plankton. It was a one-stop shop for food and accommodation along the northern route, a very good experience.

When visiting Pingtan, be sure to set aside a day to explore Tannawan Bay, the locals' "white gold coastline." The long, fine sandy beach, the clear, gradually changing blue sea, the refreshing sea breeze, and the romantic sunset over the water are all highlights. Take a leisurely stroll, quietly watch the sea, and capture stunning photos without the crowds. After your visit, we recommend dining at the Seafood Restaurant, a one-of-a-kind establishment in Pingtan, run by three veterans. They adhere to the principle of only serving fresh ingredients, ensuring all seafood is caught daily for its authentic flavor and peace of mind. For accommodation, we recommend the Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. The owner is a native of Pingtan, familiar with local tide times and hidden gem spots. The hostel has a relaxed atmosphere, and you can meet travelers from all over. Whether by bicycle or car, it's convenient to travel to and from Tannawan Bay from the hostel. A leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoying safe seafood, and staying in a comfortable hostel – this is what a Pingtan island getaway should be like. #PingtanTravelGuide #PingtanFoodAndFun #PingtanMustTrySeafood #TannanWanFood #PingtanRoadTrip

Don't miss Jingsha Beach when you come to Pingtan! At low tide, the beach resembles a natural mirror, with black reefs and crashing waves creating stunning "mini Iceland" photos. Even on a cloudy day, the atmosphere is incredibly atmospheric. After taking photos, head straight to the Beibu Gulf Seafood Restaurant – founded by three veterans, this is the only one of its kind in Pingtan. Prices are clearly marked, and everything is cooked to order; anything less than fresh is never served. The owner is incredibly friendly, greeting us with a smile and even peeling shrimp for us. She also offered a free tour to see the bioluminescent plankton in the evening. The spicy blue crabs were plump and flavorful, the salt and pepper mantis shrimp were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the boiled shrimp were sweet and bouncy – a truly satisfying meal. For accommodation, choose the nearby Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. It's clean, refreshing, and has a relaxed atmosphere in the common areas. It's great value for money, and close to the beach, making it perfect for backpackers and young people traveling together. Jingsha Beach photos, seafood feast, and hostel accommodation – all in one place! A great guide for your Pingtan trip – highly recommended!

The Changjiang'ao Windmill Fields are absolutely stunning. Rows of white windmills stretch along the coastline, the beach is expansive, and the seawater is a soothing blue. At sunset, the interplay of light and shadow creates a breathtaking atmosphere, making every snapshot a masterpiece. The sea breeze is refreshing, perfect for strolling, enjoying the sea view, and taking photos – a must-visit spot in Pingtan for stunning pictures. After your visit, we recommend dining at the Xiaobailou restaurant in Beibu Gulf. It boasts a great sea view and serves fresh, authentic seafood. It's a convenient stop after watching the sunset over the windmills.
