Zenea Garden

Zenea Garden

4.2
Zenea Garden is located in Querétaro and its history dates back to the 16th century. It was originally the orchard and cemetery of the Church of San Francisco, and later gradually evolved into a market and public event venue. In the 1870s, the then governor Benito Santos Zenea rebuilt it and named it Zenea Garden after him. In the center of the garden stands a 19th-century cast iron fountain, topped by a statue of Hebe, the Greek goddess of youth, surrounded by four swans, symbolizing youth and vitality. In addition, there is a pavilion built in a quarry in the garden, which is often used for concerts and cultural events. Zenea Garden is not only a witness to history, but also an important place for the daily life of citizens. On weekends, there are often bands playing in the garden, and citizens dance, socialize and enjoy a leisurely time here.Queretaro · 524m from downtown
