The San Antonio Life Insurance Building is a landmark historic building in downtown San Antonio, Texas, United States. The 31-story building is 123 meters tall. The building opened in 1929 and was originally known as the Smith-Young Tower, with the Smith brothers purchasing the building in 1943. In 1953, a television transmission tower was added to the structure. A 2010 renovation removed the outdated television mast and replaced it with the tower's original design, a copper canopy with a 100-foot-tall flagpole.

It's rare to see so many people in the US. The riverside walk was truly beautiful, even though it was quite hot in early October. The buildings along the river are quite exotic, with a Spanish-style feel. You can take a 35-minute boat tour for about $15.50. At night, the illuminated buildings along the river are truly atmospheric.

I really enjoyed visiting the San Antonio Botanical Garden. It’s such a beautiful place to walk around and explore. The gardens are very well maintained, and there are so many different plants and areas to see. It feels peaceful and refreshing, and it’s a great place to slow down and spend some time in nature. The only thing I would say is that it can get really hot if you go during the warmer months, so I definitely recommend visiting earlier in the morning or when the weather is cooler. But even with the heat, it’s still worth it because the gardens are so pretty and thoughtfully designed.Overall, it’s a wonderful spot in San Antonio and a great place to visit if you enjoy nature, walking around, and seeing beautiful plants. I would definitely go again.

We visited all four missions by bike and had a great time. It was easy to rent bikes but we used our own. The volunteers and staff were wonderful. We first visited the mission in San Jose Park and there was a lot to learn. The volunteers at Mission Concepcion watched our bikes while we visited the church. Each of our routes was great and smooth. The signs in the park explained the area in detail and were very informative. We saw lots of ducks, geese and waterfowl. The trails were safe and the people were very friendly. We then visited Mission San Juan and Mission Espada.
