Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl - Popocatépetl
Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl - Popocatépetl is located in the State of Mexico. Established in 1935, the park spans the states of Mexico, Puebla and Morelos, covering an area of approximately 39,819 hectares, including the second highest peak in Mexico, Popocatepetl, and the third highest peak, Iztaccíhuatl. The park has dense vegetation and diverse ecology, ranging from mixed forests of pine, oak and fir at an altitude of 3,000 meters, to alpine meadows and rare glacial landforms. At the same time, it is also the habitat of a variety of wildlife, including the endangered teporingo, white-tailed deer, bobcats, gray foxes and a variety of birds of prey. In addition, the park also contains a rich cultural heritage. The museum is so beautiful. Very tranquil and peaceful for a visit. It says you a limited to a 1 hour time, but that’s not accurate, you can kind of stay as long as you like. There was no real option of a guide in English or anything. In most museums you can have like an audio guide. But not here. I would also say it’s a little pricy considering the size of the museum. Make sure to book in advance on the official website for the best price.
