The Paradise Bookstore is located in a historic church in the city center of Maastricht, so it is also known as the Church Bookstore. Amsterdam-based architecture firm Merkx+Girod designed the church as a bookstore that combines modern elements with old buildings. A minimalist black frame divides the space on three floors, separates it from the reading area from the shop, and houses a café in the area of the former poetry choir. The entire bookstore is both quaint and gorgeous, with the exquisiteness and uniqueness of the Gothic church vaults. The fragrance of the ink mixed with the coffee lover on the first floor

The cathedral, built in the 11th century, is one of the few Gothic buildings in Switzerland. The stained glass windows with a diameter of 9 meters are quite beautiful. The tradition of night watchmen telling time is still followed. There are many ways to the church on the hill. It is a good choice to climb up the steps with roofs above.
