Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is nestled in the temperate rainforest of North Vancouver. Its centerpiece is a pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the Capilano River canyon. The bridge, approximately 137 meters long and suspended about 70 meters above the river, was originally built in 1889 by Scottish civil engineer George Grant MacKay using hemp rope and cedar planks. After several reinforcements and renovations, it is now supported by steel cables. Stepping onto the bridge, you'll find yourself amidst the rushing river and lush canyon vegetation. The bridge sways gently in the wind, offering panoramic views of the valley and towering ancient trees on both banks. In addition to the bridge itself, the park offers two unique experiences. The Treetop Adventure consists of several smaller suspension bridges connected together, suspended tens of meters above the ground among the treetops, allowing visitors to traverse the upper rainforest from a squirrel's perspective. The cliffside walkway extends outwards along the granite cliff face, clinging to the rock face with a cantilever structure. Some sections feature a perforated lattice floor, with a deep canyon below, creating a thrilling experience. The park also features Kia'palano, an indigenous cultural exhibition area with totem poles created by First Nations sculptors. Explanatory panels and guided buided commentary introduce the deep connection between the local indigenous people and the land. The suspension bridge, treetop adventure, and cliffside walkway are all connected on foot, and the entire tour takes approximately two to three hours.North Vancouver · 9.1 km from Vancouver

Decorations were on point but the overall experience was pretty lacklustre. Nothing particularly interesting about the Capilano Suspension Bridge - it’s just a bridge and a park. Wouldn’t say it’s very value-for-money.

Strolling beneath the white sail-shaped roofs of Canada Place, I felt like I was sailing in the harbor! The five-sail building reflecting the shimmering waters of the bay was so stunning that I couldn't help but snap a dozen photos from different angles. Walking along the wooden walkway, watching seaplanes take off and land and seagulls fight over fries was truly captivating. I also stopped by the FlyOver Canada experience center, where the 4D flight simulator over the snow-capped mountains was incredibly realistic! The evening sun painted the harbor a molten hue. I sat on the steps, munching on ice cream and watching the cruise ships arrive and depart, lost in thought for an hour. My only complaint was the strong wind that tangled my hair—but that's Vancouver's effortless charm, huh?

Many hotels flaunt their "high-end" status, but this one hides its "thoughtfulness" in every unseen corner. The corridor carpet is short-pile, making no sound underfoot and ensuring guests in the adjacent rooms aren't disturbed. The glasses in the rooms are placed upside down on clean cotton mats, not in cheap plastic sleeves, and have a faint, sterilized scent. The minibar drinks don't feature expensive imported brands, but rather refreshing local beverages, all free of charge with no hidden costs. In the morning, sitting on the terrace, the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees, and complimentary cool boiled water is on a small table, each cup covered with a small dust cap. There are no grand surprises, but every detail is meticulously crafted, understated yet instantly warming your heart. This is a hotel that truly understands the meaning of accommodation.

Gastown has many pretty stores and cafes.but there are lots of homeless wandering around this area. Don’t walk around at late night. When you keep following down the Water street, you can see the steam clock and lots of designer’s stores and beautiful brunch cafes.

It is really a once-in-a-lifetime train experience. In September 2019, the weather in Canada was very suitable. It was amazing to take a train and experience the colorful mountains. The train company held a grand farewell ceremony before departure for the train at Vancouver Railway Station. This gave me a pleasant surprise. Not only did the train have Chinese service staff to introduce the scenery along the way, but there was also a food experience. Sitting on the train and looking at the scenery of the Rocky Mountains and eating Michelin meals, it really can't be described in words. The ticket price is indeed not cheap. I was a little hesitant before booking, but after the experience, I felt that the money was worth it. Also, I thought it would be boring on the train before leaving, but I didn't expect there were still a lot of activities. I couldn't stop taking pictures, especially the glass dome, which was like watching an IMAX blockbuster. Soon the wonderful day passed. The Queen's favorite train is indeed well-deserved, making my wife and I feel very noble. . .

I can’t say enough about this gorgeous Island Canada has to offer. Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping center in the Fairview neighbourhood of Vancouver, Canada, across from False Creek.
