Built by the Portuguese in 1612, Fort Aguad is worth visiting among the remaining Portuguese castles in Goa. Nowadays, local Indian tour groups are often encountered here. Walk through the ruins of the moat to the top of the mountain, overlooking the surrounding coast. There is a lighthouse nearby, you can get a better view if you climb it up, but it is usually only open in the afternoon. There is also a prison below the castle, which is one of the filming locations of many Indian movies, but it is not open.Candolim · 14 km from Vasco Da Gama

Built in 1605, this red-brick cathedral is a typical Baroque building that houses the remains of the great missionary St. Francis in history. The interior of the church is very spacious, the main color of gold is very atmospheric, with marble floors and inlaid gems, and the altar in the middle is beautifully decorated. The burial chamber of St. Francis is on the right, and the coffin in which the remains are kept is made of sterling silver. In addition, there is an art gallery on the 2nd floor of the church, where you can see the works of local Goa artists.Velha Goa · 14.7 km from Vasco Da Gama
